The +$3,000 to the price with no real power gains is just NOT worth it.

Lastly, their "unique" RS paint color is baloney. The red tC RS 8.0 was re-released as just a regular tC a year after. The tC RS 7.0's yellow paint is/was an available option for the Prius (outside the US) and the FJ Cruiser, and now, this FR-S RS 1.0 seems to share that same yellow paint, too.
The RS 7.0 was actually my favorite one. I though the yellow paint looked very good on the tC, and the whole thing felt very Toyota.

This. Although most all manufactures use the waterborne paint, Toyota actually does have better quality. The Subaru paint on the FR-S is the worst I've had on a car I've owned.

It does look good, don't get me wrong. It's just hard to find any other color to match it except black, lol.

Define FRS concept.. Cause technically the Scion FR-S concept had the Five Axis wheels (but with Porsche-style lug) that are released. The FT86-II concept wheels are BBS and are also available for 2015 GT86. The FT86 G-Sport concept wheels were released on other vehicles in Asia. The original FT86 concept is what I suspect your talking about, the 5 spokes that have never been released.

Was your RS 7.0 a repaint?
I had a tC RS 6.0 and it was a repaint. All the body parts under the hood and under any interior trim pieces were a different color blue. It was the same color as that really dark dull blue tC color.
So I am wondering if the FRS RS is just a repaint? And if so what was the original color?
Someone asked earlier about the quality of the paint. I can't really say anything about quality but on my RS 6.0 the repaint was very thin. I think they sprayed just enough to cover then threw 1 coat of clear on it to make it shine.

IMO the best option is the Monogram. Nothing missing from the highest end trim level, and available in the main colors.

Agreed, now if Scion could only make the Monogram its own model or make a Monogram Package Option (because of their monospec culture)

Umm no, unless you can somehow see a miniscule difference in quality, Toyota paint chips just as easily as every other modern car. Be it 2012 or 2013 Camrys and Corollas, I see white spots and stone chips that have rusted on essentially all of them. Just checked in a BMW X1 today and I see some grey spots all over the hood. Chevrolet Tahoe, same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if Ferraris and Rolls-Royces have the exact same problem despite costing significantly more. If you don't want to see that, get a clear bra.

Exactly 29,999.99 will end up being around 34k out the door lets not be naive

I'll be disappointed, if not surprised, if the Monogram trim doesn't stick around for 2015 as a full time thing.

Well let's not be naive by dragging OTD prices into the equation... because that applies to ANY car and its advertised price yet varies from state to state, like in Oregon, where there isn't any sales tax. So the $30k car in Oregon is likely going to be a $30k car after signing the paperwork.

Plus there haven't even been any official numbers out yet. When they said under $30k, yes, it could be $29,999. But it could be $29k too. Let's not jump the gun.
