Thats what I would do. But the only way to be sure is to try it out for yourself.

Kristo right? I met Mark McCrary at our last event and he had a lot of good things to say about you (mostly that you were fast! lol!).

Anyway, it sounds like your shock/spring setup was pretty well sorted last year and you were just trying the 16mm bar for a little more rotation right? A quick look at the 2015 Wilmington Pro results indicates that you finished pretty well despite your "pushy" setup, so I really think the 20mm adjustable bar will be the easy button if you stick with the 16mm rear bar and your current spring rates.

I know a lot of folks say that even or slightly rear-biased springs rates are ideal (I actually lean that way too), but a lot of STX guys that were running KW V3s early on were putting the 7K springs up front and the 6K springs in the rear and had success. We all deal with different surfaces and there's certainly more than one way to skin a cat!

Keep us posted on what you end up doing and how it works. I'm planning to run the Bristol Match Tour in May, so maybe your report will help me decide what to bring for that weekend!

You got it exactly right. The car works mostly very well, I'm just looking to dial it in more for each site. Changing the springs will change the balance for every surface and I would be sort of in the same place I'm now ( Unless there is a single setup that works perfectly on every surface and site).

I ran Bristol last year with Strano front and stock rear and it was perfect balance. That's why I think my 16mm Whiteline will be too much there.

It's a shame that S2000 and ND Miata people have Karcepts making bars for them, but they haven't made anything for the twins.

I'm also at wear bars on my tires, so I hope I'm not chasing my tail. Supposedly they are their best right now, but I really don't how long they're supposed to last.

I would double check the numbers on the Whiteline swaybars. The website has different numbers (close to Strano at stiffer setting). Not sure which is accurate.

We did out test and tune... I'm on fortune auto 500 Swift springs 6/7k factory rear bar and whitelines 22mm front.... I got consistent with the front in the soft setting then moved it to the hardest setting and took 1.5 seconds off my time. Turn in got quicker and understeer all but went away. The only time I get understeer now is when I'm going to fast in a long sweeper. I'm also at -2.5/-2.0 camber front to rear.

More camber up front would help. I have to assume you were fighting too much body roll, or a stiffer front bar would be more likely to increase understeer (indeed, it probably does in some cases.) More spring would also help.

It how the McPherson suspension produces positive camber under compression not to much oversteer correction for with the big sway. I still have a little bit of camber adjustment in the front, may go to 2.75. I might pus them all the way in next time. Right now the car feels nearly perfect just need header and tune to kill that lul I'm the power band

Also as far as more spring, that's really what I'm doing with the sway, I think any more stiffer springs on the coils would be too much for the 200tw tires in STX.

I'm running the softer setting on the WL 20mm bar right now. Stock rear bar. I've never tried the bar at the stiffer setting since moving to STX. I'm running a 7K F/R setup, I can see with 6K fronts where more bar would help, but so would a higher spring rate, it's just not adjustable.

I've only run at SGMP (Dixie) twice and both times it was loose. I thought about disconnecting the rear swaybar altogether but wasn't interested in trying something completely new. Kristo this is Phil who was gridded next to you, it was nice meeting you.

Question for the group.
Any experience with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires?
I was originally looking at RS-3's but want a tire that fits the type of driving I'll be doing most.
STX competition will be some, but definitely not the majority of my driving.
I value wet traction and hydroplaning resistance as I want to take my car cross-country.

Tire Rack has these insanely low priced right now, and making me re-think my priorities in tire performance categories.
Anyone use these, have any major issues with them?

I've driven the V12 Evo 2s on three different cars, a semi-STX FR-S, a 3000GT VR-4 and a Mini Cooper S. Not overly impressed on any of them after comparing to RE-71Rs, even for wet weather. The V12s will probably hydroplane less at "normal" highway speed (~80) The V12s will last a LOT longer than any of the fast tires though.

They will be slow as hell for autoX. Fine for DDing. RS3 is already a slow tire now-a-days.
