hi
i ve never seen that software and i m not familiar with some of the values it logs Do you have a tactrix cable too with it? you could put a good cfg file inside the tactrix to make a log with more usefull values, LTFT for example isn t there Log anyway seems fine, it s a standard oem tune doing it s normal job, i see nothing out of place actually You best bet, if you don t want to go custom tuning with someone who knows this car and let him doing the tune for you, is to take an OFT tune from openflashtuning website, and use that as a starting point to refine the tune I guess this subaruEdit could flash .bin tune file as other devices do, but i dont know it |

hi,
thanks! LTFT is in the data logs as "fuel trim long term%" Yes, I do have a Tactrix Cable. What are the most valuable data for my diagnostics? I can log more variables, but that will slow down the logging speed. Is it normal for the stock car to have a consistent afr difference of about 1? And is it okay for the stock car to have timing changes due to knock correction? I want to make sure there are no mechanical issues (such as air leak or improper scaling) that prevent the afr value from matching the commanded one. I don’t want to start tuning my car with these problems. My ultimate goal is to drive my car on the track without worrying about any issues caused by these problems. I don’t want to use a premade tune, but I will check the OFT Tunes and see what they have changed. Thanks again for your help and understanding! BR |

those are not problems, it s just the way the stock tune acts, in open loop is imprecise
that s what yoy actually correct with the tuning knock correction when positive is not a problem, it s the ecu adding timing following a specific table, all in order. when negative is a knock. here many info https://ecutek.atlassian.net/wiki/sp...U+Tuning+Guide and many other info you can find by searching every thread made by Steve99 |

oh wow, that cleared many things up.. I was searching for a problem that did not even exist because I was unable to correctly read the log data
I apologize for my lack of knowledge but thanks for the clarification! BR |

Hi, trying to get some help from you guys so I can understand what's happening. I know near to 0 about tuning but Ive read the guides steve99 and wayno have posted. My car is a BRZ 17 euro, and im running stg1 by Wayne roms, this log is with the 89 fuel, but the car is running 88-91 octane fuel (thats the range of premium fuel in my country) plus a lucas oil octane boost. This log was taken today in a couple of laps I did on my local track, first time at a track.
Problem is I keep running IAM below 1, and theres some degree of flkc. The lowest IAM ive seen so far is 0.74 and it was with this tune, with the 91 I was at around 0.92 lowest. https://datazap.me/u/brzcr/log-16829...zoom=3823-3905 |

it s not running too bad at all, but you really should put down some ignition timing from 4000 to redline
Which tune are you using from oft website, za1jK00G? |

Alright I guess I’ll have to buy a custome tune cause I have no idea how to edit them. The code is K00R.

Hey all,
So i am finally getting around to posting some logs. I've got 2017 6mt running oft stg 2 e85 with a catless uel. I am really looking for advice on two topics, but i may need to some better logs to figure this out. #1 - I modified my OL Primary fueling by leaning out low rpm / high load tables in an effort to reduce bogging in between shifts. I did what Shiv recommended but cant say i noticed much of a difference after (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=27) According to my logs, it seems AFR looks ok between shifts, but its just a quick bog for example from 2 to 3 or 3 to 4 if i get the rpms and load just right (Rpms usuall between the200 and 3500k rpm range. Shoudl i look to make throttle tip in adjustments? #2 - A few weeks ago i swapped my stock front pipe for a JDL ultra quiet highly recommend btw) and i had a tony exhaust leak from front to midpipe, but after tightening the clamps down again it seems to be gone. Can anyone tell if the 7/18/23 file would indicate an exhaust leak by looking at my fuel trims? Here are the two files: April (before front pipe) https://datazap.me/u/chasethefa20/lo...og=1&data=1-13 Today (after jdl front pipe install) https://datazap.me/u/chasethefa20/lo...1-2-4-10-11-12 note: i cant remember if i had adjusted OL fueling tables for the April log but i know it was done on todays |

raise maf voltage scaling after 3.8v as it seems to lean out too much and cause knocking even with ethanol
maybe, for sake of better reading, remove kc learned and add afr command it looks quite good otherwise |

Thanks, will do some more logging and make those changes to parameters. As far as the maf voltage, i was under the impression that scaling wasn't essential if the intake is stock (other than K&N drop in) I'd like to understand what/if you are seeing in the data that could indicate a risk of of knock. Is that just what you've seen generally? |

you can see some flkc at high rpm
and afr leaning out a bit, i would try to rescale the maf a bit better and knocks should go away |

Someone suggested to go back under the car adn make sure nothing is rattling and tripping the knock sensors. Sure enough, my CNT racing header had two tubes a millimeter away from each other and were rattling when gently tapped with a mallet. Fixed that, ran logs but looks nearly identical so doesn't appear to have made a difference: https://datazap.me/u/chasethefa20/lo...og=0&data=1-13 I stayed away from non-oem intakes largely because they don't do much and i didnt want to be rescaling the MAF. I've been on the edge about running a flex fuel tune with Ecutek and this is just making me feel like i should. I've seen the process of rescaling the MAF, and since i dont want to input those hundreds of values or screw anyhting up and possibly end up worse than I already am. Anything else i can try before changing MAF scaling? Clean the MAF? Its astock intake and your not supposed to need to do it thats where I am lost. Is the rescaling just a band-aid fix or will it let my IAM do what it should be? Edit: after looking and having it looked at the data much more closely, it turns out it did make a big difference in my IAM, which is way up over previous datalogs with the rattling header. Will look into to MAF rescaling anyways to improve logs Last edited by ChaseTheFox; 07-27-2023 at 09:39 AM. Reason: updated |

stock maf scaling isn t necessarily the best one, every car is different and having a single maf scaling for all the cars is just a compromise, corrected then by fuel trims
you can modify the afr target to manually offset the actual afr, or modify the engine load compensation table , or just modify the maf scaling |

Hello all,
Can someone please have a look at my logs? Car feels good, but I am getting negative LTFT. Checked for leaks and can't find anything. Thinking of playing with MAF scaling. 2nd gear WOT log: https://datazap.me/u/sideways/log-16...1&data=1-7-8-9 Perrin intake, OFH, Perrin OP, Invida Q300 CB Thank you. |
