The IS200t already uses the 8 speed I'm sure they can use that on next gen and then program it for the Twins powerband.

True, but by then Subaru will be free to do whatever they want with the BRZ and who knows what they might come up with.

Component wise, this car is pretty bare bones. The WRX comes with an extra diff, a turbo, intercooler and ducting and uses a lot more material, yet it's priced the same (probably also due to the larger volume of sales).

The two have always had a different suspension setup. The BRZ has been softer in the rear, the FR-S harder, and vice-versa in the front. Overall ride quality though, I don't think was noticeably different.

I'm not sure how the new suspension setups compare though.

BRZ gives you slightly better interior refinement climate control, heated seats.

UK cars also have the different suspension set-up. I would say that the Toyota has the better ICE.

That changed in 2015. Both had identical spring rates.
