some footage from the last event, you may spot the fellow forum member @Lunatic with his black FRS w/gold wheels (number 24) and my supercharged BRZ in the video ( at 1:48 and in a cool down lap at 3:52) .. I didn't know that induction sound was that noticeable

Like your own personal F-16 (without the fighter jet roar). It really is a cool sound. :-)

UPDATES:
Just dropped my car off @Drift-Office to install the C30 kit, oil cooler, and some other goodies. Can't wait to see the results!

Had a great deal of support and assistance to get to this point, and need to thank all of those involved. First, thanks to @digital_assassin for going through the kit to assure all of the pieces were there. During the process we discovered that the drive assembly got scuffed up in shipping. @fteightysix and @KraftWerks overnighted the replacement assembly without a cross-shipment, so huge thanks to both for excellent customer service and support!

That said, I would offer the following feedback to @KraftWerks... The parts list that is provided with the installation instructions seems incomplete, and basically useless. IMHO, listing by assembled/kitted/boxed components would be a great place to start, aligning the number on the box to the number on the list. Breaking those out into sub-assemblies to include the necessary bolts/clamps/etc. seems necessary as well, especially if you are still having trouble making sure everything is in there! Fortunately that was not the case for me, but had to have someone familiar with the kit to get all of that sorted. Adding pictures/diagrams to the parts list would be icing on the cake. And no, the picture of the kit on the first page, and exploded view of the install do not suffice.

Also picked up the Skunk2 coilovers and was shocked by how little padding was placed in the boxes, with the struts sliding around and wearing holes in the inner cartons. Boxes should not rattle or shift significantly when sent out, but again, just my opinion. Perhaps the cost of replacing/overnighting damaged stuff is cheaper than adding packing material, but centainly wouldn't think so!

Conclusions:
@fteightysix - Malen and Thomas were great to work with! I would highly recommend them to others for their knowledge and willingness to assist customers, great prices and great service. Thanks again!
@KraftWerks - beautiful parts and great service!
@digital_assassin, @evan and @wrohdejr - Thanks for helping me make the decision on which way to go with my build. So glad to have you guys local...

I'll make sure to post up pictures and dyno results after I get her back!

Hello Guys,

I'm new to the forum and I'm looking into buying the C38 kit.

I started with the idea to install a turbo but to run it reliably on Panama's heat I would have to spend a small fortune upgrading the car and I would to pay someone to do install and tuning.

Can I run this kit on 95RON reliably? What gains should I see with a stock engine with a EL 4-1 Header and full 3" header back exhaust? I would like to run 300whp on a dynojet.

I plan to do the installation myself, is this feasible?

I know KW had some problems with the kits at the beginning, do you guys know if this situation has improved?

Thanks Guys. Hoping to become part of the group with a KW kit.

It's easy to install that's for sure. Still make an inventory of all the parts before diving into it. Look for a good tuner. Not sure if you have one there. So e-tuning might be the way to go. Take your time, try to invest a whole weekend for it.

Welcome! Please let us know if you have any questions!

95 RON being ~89-90 (MON+RON)/2?

I wouldn't recommend FI for you at all...

I won't speak for everyone, but my supercharger kit was installed in spring and I haven't had a single issue with it. So I'd say at the very least it's improved.

And run better gas if you can.

Thanks for the comments guys. I wish we had better gas here but 95RON is the premium stuff here 91RON is what most people use. Both have a 5% ethanol in it. With that gas should I stay NA?

Its good to know that KW has improved the kits.

Any of you guys using the OMNI 3-Bar map sensor? I've got one, but I want to make sure it will work before I jump into getting all this installed only to find out my car won't start from the settings being off.

I'm using one, you can't use the Kraftwerks tune with it. You will need a custom base tune at least. If you do have a Kraftwerks tune I think they can tweak it for a 3 bar.

I'll be tuning from scratch most likely.
