if true, i wouldnt past on it for that alone. but they need to price it right. no higher than $40kish IMO. any higher than im with you, just get a C7.

I'm hoping if the power numbers are true that the car is seriously low weight (less than 3200lbs). Maybe the motor will be underrated too?

Nonetheless, the lack of manual transmission is a deal breaker for me.

I think it's more of a preference than an excuse. I'm not a fan of automatics but I understand the appeal. I'm sure this will be a great diver's car regardless.

*sigh* You have no idea where I have lived. I used to commute in to downtown st. Louis for years and also did a lot of stop and go on I-15 in a city of 650k permanent residents and another couple million tourists every weekend (so it seemed)
