Oh and it is a 5 ton and had under 100 Kms on it when I started driving it. Judging by the MO chalked on the tailgate that was part of the very rare occasions it was used for gas. I usually hauled aviation fuel for choppers. You did not want to mix the two up!
Most of the ones I've driven had over 80000km. One of the ones I drove was stupid low though, 2000 or so. Though, assumed it was because the odo rolled over

Not coincidently they are probably 1976s or 77s.
They were replacing the old GMCs at that point. I actually drove trucks that had seen service in the Korean war in 1951!

Coming up on double-4s for me in April.

I've been pulled-over 2x since having my FR-S, I fully believe that both times the cops probably thought they were pulling over some young smart-ass that needed a little harassment...But when they actually see me (or on that first pull-over, my son in the car seat), they're taken aback and re-assess.

So on the first pull-over, it was for NOT changing out of the right-most lane when an officer is stopped in the emergency lane. He let me go with a warning, but gave me a ticket for having a license plate holder that obstructed part of the wording of the plate.

On the second pull-over, it was for speeding and having yellow headlights (Laminate). While I was getting him my license and the other stuff, he actually asked me if I was the registered owner of the car. He looked at my info and instead of walking back to his cruiser to write anything out, he just handed everything back and said 'Okay, you're free to go and slow down.".

I love the looks when they see who is driving!
