There haven't been any announcements made yet, but c'mon Rockstar, we know you're working on it. Nvidia accidentally made a "mistake" a little while back during an earnings call, saying about the PC version. They've backpedaled since, saying they were just excited and didn't have any info about it on PC.

Really I'm thinking about getting the PC version this time. I don't normally mod games a whole lot, but the Elder Scrolls series and the GTA series look great modded. And this:

There's a lot of good info there, and likely things get leaked onto reddit or seen before the larger media picks them up. The downside is that, yeah, there are a lot of things that turn into superiority circlejerks. But that's on both sides, and once you get past those there's a bunch of good info, trailers, etc that people otherwise might miss. IMO IGN has gone pretty far downhill since their glory days, back when I had a subscription for the site. And on a personal rant, why the hell is everything a video now? Dammit sometimes I just want to READ an article, like while I'm at work and don't want to make a ton of noise.

On the controller related note, I'm excited about the announcement that the XBO controller will have PC compatibility next year. I'll definitely be buying one for that. Always loved the Xbox controls ever since the S. But I have heard a lot of people say that the PS4 controller is immensely better. I think they went to the community, to e-sports gamers, and asked "How do we improve our control?" At the Gamescom conference they specifically said they wanted to improve the control for FPS. We'll see.

I've held both controller at San Diego Comic Con last month. Both felt very similar to the old controllers. As in the X1 is just as awesome as 360, but better and more refined. Force triggers are also slick. PS4 controller is a solid step forward, but still nothing to write home about. Triggers are still awkward sticks are still in the wrong spot, touch pad is useless. It IS better than the DS3, but I wouldn't even say as good as 360's.

By the way, AfterGlow makes a wonderful PS3 controller that mimics the excellent ergos of the 360. Two small issues, its wired (because Sony does not like third party wireless controllers), and it does not have SIXAXIS control. Now the cord is long, so that's not a deal breaker, but when playing The Last of Us and my flashlight begins to flicker and I need to "shake" it using SIXAXIS motion, I have to unplug and use a standard PS3 controller unless I want to continue on without a flashlight. Other games require SIXAXIS dumb gimmicky stuff, but that one stands out most recently. Otherwise, it's an excellent controller; especially after you turn the lights off.

the moment they change the PS3 controller is the moment I give up consoles for good... I have small hands and the xbox controller is a pain in the ass for me...

My choice (in like 2 years) will come down to which is cheapest to play online I think. Halo has kind of lost my attention and no other xbox exclusive matters anymore. But i fucking HATE the PS controller and have never bought a system because of that reason. Xbox fanboy but the $$$ has to make sense.

Or they don't want to pay $2000 for a gaming rig only to sit hunched over a carpel-tunnel keyboard and mouse, and would rather prefer chilling on the couch with a 50" big screen, 5.1 surround, and a console that costs lest than most video cards alone. :P

Booo we already covered this. And even since then, prices of better equipment have come down even more!

At this point, only the top-tier cards are going to cost more than the console.

Point still stands. You can't build a top gaming rig for the price of a console. Heck, I built a pretty nice AR-15 for less than what my roommate spent building his rig.

Ironically, my poorest friend is a PC gamer, and has a $1000 PC
