Subaru BRZ will go on-sale in May according to their internal marketing site.

Those could be halogen projectors, they're definitely not the same headlights as we've seen on the GT-86.

According to Scion homepage the car under the cover is the 2012 car for Drift Challenge with 600 hp

Projectors != HIDs. Projectors can be HID or Halogen.

Considering the time gap between the GT86 announcement in Tokyo and the release of official pricing information on January 4th, I'm not getting my hopes up for pricing today.

You only really have to replace the bulbs when they go out...but yeah if the whole unit goes out it is expensive.

It's not a "version we are never going to get". It's just an FR-S that is built up.
