then go buy the competition. no one is forcing you to buy this car.

btw this is not on topic for the leak threads, and there are probably 10+ threads in the drivetrain forum about this topic. keep threads on topic and don't make any more work for the poor mods.

I love the MCS. I'd probably buy one if it was RWD (and if they made one I could stand being seen in). I still prefer NA engines though. The turbo on the new MCS spools a fast as any I've driven, but it still doesn't have the same feeling as an NA engine.

Anyone shocked, upset or disappointed by something that was known 3 years ago just needs to get over it. Or perhaps shouldn't have wasted 3 years watching this car when they could have bought something with 300hp already.
I've known the actual specifics for a very long time, that's not the point. I like to start debates and bring others into the conversation and sparking interest since we have new members everyday joining. This is what makes manufactures do crazy things on next year model later if there is enough interest and uproar, Toyota chose the targeted power and that's why it is what it is. I'm not angry because I know what is to come from Subaru, and my current car allows me to hold off versus jumping into these.

The mini cooper S only as 181hp... If you want to compare it to the competition like the Miata, or the genesis, because they are the only competition out there really for this car. Then it stacks up well. My thing is that I like to have a car that punches above its weight so to speak. One that will line up next to a vette, camaro, challenger, mustang, or imports and make them sweat.

I have the R53(S/C) so it's like high hp N/A.

If your car isn't enough and this car isn't set to as much as your car then why are you even following it?

I gotta say, HP is definitely addictive. You experience it once and can't stop thinking about how you'll get your next fix. I'll bet the guys screamin TURBO are all HP junkies. I cant blame them.

Oh wait, I can...

My EVO X GSR with all bolt ons tunned with 337 whp (dyno jet I belive, it reads more than mustang) I think it is fast, and it did good in auto x. I remember once two teenage boys drive a honda civic Si with turbo build (It has intercooler, I saw it in my mirror. No offense) was provoke me on the road. I'm not a fan of road race, but I want give them a lesson, so I someked them. However, why I think 200 hp for 2700lb FRS is not enough is because I don't want provoke by an EVO or STi and somked by them on the road.

I think most people think 200 hp stock is good enough, including me.

We are thinking about how to get more, with after market parts. For example: Turbo.

So...

Just remember this line from my favorite movie:

"It can never be fast enough"

I think 200hp is (barely) enough, but the TRQ is not even close to being acceptable. Taking into account that this is quite a light car, 230-250nm would've been ok, if the torqueband is broad from low down the revrange. But 205nm at 6600rpm...
