Came from an 07 Chevy Optra (Canada only model) and then a 2010 WRX. I've only had the FR-S for a couple days but so far it is much more enjoyable to drive than the WRX. Mind you I do miss the pull that the WRX had but the instant throttle response and the extremely planted and deliberate feel of this car feel so much better than it did.

I had an 09 lancer ralliart and man do I miss my turbo! But the frs is much more fun to drive considering your in the car seats and not sliding all over the p.o.s stock lancer seats

Traded in my 07 STi for this car and for those that are curious, yes i miss the turbo, but no i don't overall miss the car. I was wanting to track my STi and just couldn't rationalize tracking my DD car, the BRZ is now going to be the DD and i'll be buying another STi for track down the road.

Going fast in straight lines gets old after a while haha. Even going into corners and accelerating out of them, the BRZ just does it more cleanly in a way. I do feel that the STi overall will still be able to out handle this car but the BRZ "FEELS" so much better doing it! It took me driving it to realize that, all the power of the STi and it really did feel heavy compared to this car, body roll and all. I still catch crap from my family and friends saying, "How did you go from a turbo'd car to a non???", none of them understand when i say it simply drives better lol.

According to the guy that let me drive his it was a 1.8 vw motor but I don't think he had a clue what he was talking about I bought the FR-S not the exige so I never bothered to see if he was right.
