@Sony

Next time you are gonna head to Kaizen can you shoot me a message. I am seriously considering picking up this exhaust this summer and I want to hear it in person. I know you mentioned it doesn't drone but I want to make sure we don't have different definitions of drone haha

With the setup that you have mentioned, they would be about the same.

Garage
I installed my Perrin non resonated catback exhaust this weekend. First time I have ever put a car up on 4 jack stands in my garage. First time I have ever installed an exhaust on a vehicle.

Installation was straight forward and easy. I wasted more time jacking the car up than I did installing the dang exhaust. This was because I did not have a low profile jack and it would not fit under the front of the car. I ended up jacking the front right tire up and placing a 2x4 under tire to get car high enough to jack up entire front end at the front jacking point in center of car.

Fit and finish:
Finish was nice and weld beads look great. Exhaust did not have any dents/crimps/dings in it. Shipping box and packing was impeccable.

Install:
Exhaust was a perfect fit and no hassle to get it in. I highly recommend WD40 to spray on the exhaust hangers to help get old exhaust off.
I also had my 14 year old son helping me and if your doing this in your garage on jack stands I recommend you have someone helping you as well. Since the clearance is low an extra person comes in handy holding up the exhaust while your hanging it and also holding a wrench on the main flange while your trying to torque it.

Sound: The non resonated sounds beautiful. After reading some comments on this board I was afraid it might be to loud but after hearing it in person I LOVE IT. It is nice and throaty without sounding to "ricey".

Overall I am very happy and at this point I will give it a 9/10.

My only wish was that the exhaust had been 1 piece from the muffler to the cat like the stock exhaust.
After installing and seeing the V band clamps I have a slight concern of the seal they make and their ability to hold up. I am afraid that they might snap or loosen at some point.
I dont have any experience with aftermarket exhausts so I might be completely off base here.

Can anyone comment on the V band clamps ability to hold up over time?

[Edit - mistook the GReddy configuration for the Perrin one, you're right, the Perrin has two pieces between the cat and muffler while the stock (and GReddy) has one - Perrin's setup makes it easier to align the tips and makes it more compact to ship, I imagine]

Also V-bands are among the best types of clamps you can put on an exhaust system. Some would argue they *are* the best.

Ok thanks for the input, good to hear no worries on the V-Band clamps.

I just need to keep an eye on them as my torque wrench only went as low as 120 inch pounds. I tried to set it lower "unofficially" and then when tightening them I made sure to stop going when I felt it was close to clicking. So I cant be 100% sure they were tightened to 75inch pounds.
