I got it in the mail today, opened it up and I must admit, very nice piece of kit.

Went over to the car and check out the filter box and realize that I will not be able to install it as I have a sandwich adaptor for the oil cooler hoses and they are eating into the space where the filter box will be.

I guess I will have to wait for other options. Now I hope someone will come along and buy my intake.

They have a money-back guarantee if you send it back to them. Not sure if you'd rather do that or just unload it locally.

Any way to relocate your sandwich adaptor/oil cooler hoses?

Injen intake

I have one and I actually was stalling after I got it when decelerating, finally a check engine light went on and I had a MAF replaced under warranty. I had it a few days and it happened again so i disconnected the battery for like a day came back connected the battery and havent had a problem since.

I replace my Airaid with my factory box(with K&N drop in) I can say if mostly city driving the factory box is much better. Especially in low rpm, the car pick up faster and more response. With the Airaid it always feels there is a lag in low-mid rpm. Every time you step hard on the gas in low rpm you can see the rpm goes up another 200rmp but the car seem cannot pick up right away. But Airaid pull better above 4k. If always keep high rpm the Airaid is Excellent.

I have my intake now, car arrives next Friday. I dont know if I even want to bother breaking in my car...I may just do 500km and then fill in the form for John's flash, log him my car's info with the SRT exhaust and this intake and see how his tune works.

I am excited..excited as *expletive*

Wasn't experiencing the bog with Airaid and tune at first, but after 1000km have had it happen twice now (both very recently).

It's like hitting a brick wall! lol

Both times could have been avoided had I taken this into account and changed how I was driving~ but was not expecting it. Hopefully a resolution can be found. If not, I am still keeping this intake on and ensuring that keep those revs up.

Do you have Visconti's tune? If so, he has a version that fixes the intake bogging.

Anyone that experienced bogging and you have the Visconti ECUTek reflash - are you still seeing any problems after getting John's tune that seeks to address it? Just curious if this solves it for everyone, regardless of CAI manufacturer.

John, do you have a theory as to why this was showing up for some people, but not for others? Is it due to atmospheric conditions, fuel type, or something else? Since people with stock and aftermarket CAI's reported this, as well as people with stock and custom flashes, and all to varying degrees, it's confusing as to what the real culprit here was.

If it's not divulging any of your proprietary tradecraft, could you explain how you addressed the issue for those of us with your tune?

Ok, I finally got to try out @Viscontis new intake bog fix......and I can finally say that the car can now handle traffic!!! Once again, John comes through.

Ultimately, I've decided to return the intake. Having John fix the issue is great and all, but I need a unit that runs correctly on a stock tune. In the event I actually have a real engine problem, and I take it in for warranty, I don't want to pay a diagnosing fee only to have the tech hand it back and blame the intake. Something those of you with issues on stock tunes should think about as well.

Hopefully I won't have anything to add to this thread when I get a different intake!

I will try to unload it locally, if possible, slim chance but I will try that first.

It took 100 USD to have it sent over so it will take another 100USD to send it back. I am pretty much covering the freight costs to do a money-back..haha..

The oil hoses are pretty tight where the stock oil filter is unless I do an oil filter relocate kit. Kind of an oversight but I need the oil cooler more than the intake so its time to source for another intake. I am hoping the Perrin one will be more suitable.

Make that 7 now

Interestingly, After 2,500 quick Miles after a 3 week ownership, I did a 1-5 Pull on the freeway one empty night and it started.

Cant wait to have money to buy my solution, John
