At the very least, a sportscar deserves a good color pallet to choose from, including a few really bright colors.

Anyone think Toyota/Scion would come out with the black and white color scheme of the AE86?

Or is that not considered cool enough today?

I could imagine Scion doing that as a Release Series.

I mean I can see them doing the top part black like an NSX R or a Ferrari 458
but not black on the bottom like the 80s be pretty cool though hope they prove me wrong.

My gut instinct is to pick gunmetal grey, but it depends on what the production car looks like.

Just looked at the colors for the tC at Scion.ca. Wow, what a bore - monochromes plus a bland blue and a plum (!!). They'd better come up with some new shades by release.

Definitely dark blue. It's the only color that IMO doesn't look tacky with a carbon fiber hood/roof, maybe white and dark red also.

IDK why but white just seems to be the colour to suit this car, so metallic white for me. Yellow that is slightly orangy in colour does look good too, so either metallic white or yellow with gunmetal or charcoal rims would be the way to go for me.

The beautiful thing about paint is it can cover up carbon fiber. My hood and doors are both CF and I had them painted to match the car.

I photoshoped various colours from Road & Track's version, keep in mind I suck at PS. For me, gunmetal rims with yellow or white car. I'll see which looks best when the time comes in person though.

Original:

Gunmetal (doesn't really show it here):

White:

Yellow:

This is just to give you guys an idea of how they would look at production. I just hope Scion offers these colours and not the monotone colours they offer now along with some stupid dark purple and dark blue.
