you haven't made any valid points. if you're too simple to see the differences between the FT86 and the TC, i'm not going to waste my time explaining them to you.

Hellova a lot of $. It is possible... cuz some tuners shop have done 300hp w 2.5L (165hp) Impreza RS engine.

Ha.... You're comparing Z w this?

First, Z have 2 extra cylinders. Second, Z have 1.5L~1.7L more. Lastly, it's wrong to compare w Z. Miata or S2k might be understandable. Look at those 2, have to seen NA 300hp Miata or S2k? I for one never seen it (except swapped w LS engine).

When you have competition from Ford in the form of a Turbo Focus ST and a SUBARU in the form of a WRX. Anything less than FI will be a disappointment.
I don't see the big deal with HP cause the way I see it its more about how the car drives, feels and puts down that power that I care about.

I'm going to assume you mean the Sonata since its the only 2.0 from Hyundai that makes 250hp+ (274HP) but I wouldn't want that engine considering Hyundai themselves said that the engine was meant to be a v6 alt as oppose to a high performance engine which is clear when you consider that with 274hp it makes its run from 0-60 in 6.5s while the Civic Si with 197 makes the same run in 6.8s

Build me a proper sports car with enough power for fun then a car with lots to brag about on paper but not very impressive drive. Specs do not define a car if this thing has 200HP and is a blast to drive then it'll be awesome I will say tho I would like a turbo option but one that is actually designed to be a performer and not just look good on paper

Really? I thought the Z loves boost?

There are a couple of Z around here that have been boosted for a long time most notable would be the 420TT 350z that just a beauty

Okay, you guys said one thing that bothered me, and that was that this car has no direct competition. I see the gen coupe as competition. That's considering that at 24K you can get brembo brakes, LSD, 6 speed, and turbo.

In terms of tuning potential, the gen coupe can get 280whp from a tune alone. I suppose in what the gen coupe lacks with handling it makes up for with power.

Dont get me wrong, the Gen coupe is not a better car for the money. It's not lightweight, and doesn't handle too well; so that's where the FT86 will steal the spotlight.

Also, this is bothering me.

Why in the world are you comparing these two cars? At least compare the sonata to the 4 door civic, thats much more fair, considering that sonata isnt sport tuned.

I was tryin to make that point exactly

HP numbers mean nothing if the car isn't designed well. All these guys are complaining that the car needs 250HP+ so I wanted to show that a high HP number is good for nothing but being on paper if the car isnt designed well

btw I do find it funny that you say its unfair for the Hyundai consider I'm comparing a 2.0T to a 2.0.
