Thanks. I agree, kept thinking about that on the way back from the dealership! I wonder how this might be achieved....

Man, they made the dash logo worse. It used to have the S-C...N fade out leaving the 10, then fade out. The change is very lame.

When I started questioning things, they just said it's how it is. It wasn't until I told them I was talking to another dealer that they changed their words.

Not to mention, not knowing anything about what they are selling me. He told me the LED accents for $ 399 was for the interior of the car.

They'll say or do whatever to make a sale ( i know this isn't everyone.) I don't like being swindled or taken advantage of. I read/ learned a lot about the car from fellow forum members & I thank everyone for sharing. I rather take my business elsewhere & work directly with a Scion manager/Fr-s owner/ fellow forum member.

I know it's business & I shouldn't take it personal. Not a fan of the car buying process

Sorry for the rant.
UNICRN - you totally did the right thing here. I think its ridiculous that people think they can get away with that kind of behaviour. Completely unprofessional.

I hope you end up getting your car soon!

BTW - dealer just told me mine is on a ship (no word on what ship or VIN though). Although judging by how you guys were getting disappointed over delays I'm not sure I want to know in that sort of detail.

Also - as for the dash I think it looks...alright. Still would prefer the black T pattern instead. Although I'm grateful that you can switch the SC10N cheese off.

Thank you for the posted pics everyone! I've heard about the gold highlights but was finally able to see it in some of those pictures that GXXR-dude took. Too bad Vancouver doesn't have sun that often; I guess I'll just be another guy with a silver car most of the time...

I think I figured out the trouble I was having with the keyless stuff: I forgot the spare key was in the glove box. Once I removed it, everything acted as expected (which is very nice!). I guess this would be a safeguard against locking your key in the car.

Spent some time with the new head unit (sans BeSpoke/GPS module, to be installed when it arrives), and I am quite happy with it so far. The screen is nice and bright (has day mode), and the touch functions better than I expected. Easily paired my android phone and iPad and enjoyed some Bluetooth audio. I am quickly thinking that I have everything I wanted without the upgrade, but I know I will be happier with the complete package.

The headlights are functionally nicer than I expected, being my first HIDs (and proper ones, at that). The leveling control is quite nice, and has quite a bit more angle range than I expected.

I am really pleased by the digital HVAC unit too. The auto mode works really well, ramping up and down to maintain whatever you dial it to. Don't know how we'll the dual zone thing will work in the real world, but at the very least it is cool to be able to blast cold air on one side only without closing and re-aiming vents.

Up late playing with the new toy. Snapped some pics in the dark.

Notice anything different here?

Something sticks out here like a sore thumb:

Here's the 10 Series trunk mat:

I wonder if you can change the boot-up image on this unit like you can on the Subaru...
