Dunno if anyone is into this genre but it's been stuck in my head lately. I knew of it years ago and it's been sitting in my music library. I think re-watching Spiderman Into the Spiderverse got me onto it again because they have a tiny bit of it in one scene. Plus, it's educational!

Story time! Ready?
I was in 1st form which is now called Year 7. I would have been about 12yo. As part of the French class there was an opportunity to go on a school excursion to Noumea, New Caledonia. We lived in a very working class area so I didn't like my chances but I asked my father anyway and to my surprise he said yes, I could go. From dodgy memory it cost something like $250 AUS which was a lot of money at the time.

Remember, this was part of French class but none of us spoke any French for the entire time we were there.

We stayed in a resort and had resort dinner by the pool each evening. There was a two person band playing around the tables. A couple of times they played the music from this clip but we were young and no idea of the world. We thought they were saying "one caremello" which we thought referred to this:

We would piss ourselves laughing because who would think that they would be singing about such a thing? We would join in the chorus singing One Caremello at the top of our voices laughing all the time. The two guys playing/singing took it in their stride but I'm sure they were wondering wtf are these kids laughing about.
Even now when I hear the clip I think one caremello.
