Agreed, and those saying that he's just bashing are simply ignorant.

A contract is, by law (that which keeps our society supposedly orderly), binding. The seller, by voluntarily posting the car up, not putting up a reserve, etc., and knowing what he was doing (reasonably assumed based on past sales listed) is bound not just by law but by unwritten ethics to sell at the price agreed upon on ebay.

Now, is it practical to get lawyers involved on a $15k deal? Depends on how long it could take and the costs involved. But morally should the seller be held to account, even as far as a criminal complaint (the guy won the car... refusing to sell is almost theft... and only falls short in that money hasn't changed hands).

I'm not a lawyer and even I can tell that a gross breach of basic contract law has occurred.

It's almost as bad as what happened to frs300 (and only "almost" b/c frs300 already paid).

I know I am being ignorant here, but it seems like the FRS300 story was a big deal and I completely missed it lol. Can someone post the TLDR version?

Last March or around then, FRS300 had a Full Blown Motor turbo kit installed by someone who may not have known what they were doing, his engine blew up shortly after that. FA20Club was the forum darling at the time so FRS300 took his car to them for a teardown and rebuild using the same turbo kit, pretty simple. Along the way Toni talked FRS300 into switching to the FA20Club turbo kit and basically throwing away everything from the previous build and adding a lot of new stuff. They also decided to build with internals that had a couple month lead time. Through the Summer the build was constantly waiting on parts to arrive, and for the last four months or so the car will supposedly be done "next week", but problems kept cropping up (like needing a new clutch, or things weren't installed right the first time). As of now, there's been no public communication from FA20Club for quite some time.

That's the "kinda short" version, lol.

TLDR: FRS300 paid a certain business that has a supposed (at the time) good reputation and is 9-10 hours away from him a LOT of money up front to build him an FA20 motor and boost it after his block went BANG (not sure how that happened, but that's the gist I got). 10 months later and it still isn't done. Business claims it is done and they're just breaking it in, dynoing, etc. However, no dyno plots have been sent to FRS300, no video, just one fanboi claiming that he's seen FRS300's car in the shop and it sounds "sweet". This business is supposed to know what it is doing, and 10 months is outrageous.

Marin knows the details and has had trouble with the same person at this business (same dude who basically tuned Marin's block to blow up).

Well, his case happens to be more spectacular than most.

When it comes time to tune my car for NA, only 2 people (currently) will be allowed to tune it: Travis Cooke and Marin.

What were you driving?

And I'm sure you did. The AZ51 is a core part of my daily commute. I drive its entire length every week day.

Question

Question:

Preferred oil for Arizona?

I've always run Mobile1 10/50 or similar in my 4 cylinder cars, but this is our first boxer. I know the manufacturer's recommendation, but I'd like some local opinions...
and I know 10/50 is not applicable to this engine.

Thanks!
