Just shaved my rear endlinks. They were 54.98 mm wide. My new LCA have an opening of 54.80mm. They did not fit, so I shaved off a quarter mm and now they do!

Also, ordered a roller bearing kit. And a Fortune Auto hoodie.

When are you going to quit playing with those pieces and put them on your car -

Well it was going to be later this week when my front sway bar arrives. But, since I just ordered the roller bearing upgrade for my coils, I will wait to put those in the mix...

Trust me, I am EXCITED FOR THE INSTALL!

EDIT: My Front Perrin Sway bar just arrived! Now, just waiting on the roller bearings.
NEW PIC - With all my parts - Minus roller bearing upgrade for coils.

Going to gold paint and clear coat the : sways, trailing arms, toe arms, and ties. They should match the LCA nicely!

Ugly carpet in my office...

After 4 hours of wet sanding, polishing, and waxing I got my tail lights looking the best that I could. Some of the scratches/scuffs from wet sanding are still visible, so they aren't 100% perfect Tomorrow I'll install them on the car along with a few other things that should be coming in the mail.

Well, Face_Plant, I just don't know, they still look a bit rough. I think you should spend another 4-8 hours polishing them.

Well, that's all fine and dandy, but you haven't shown us the stickers and talked about where you are going to put them -

I'm considering it. My goal was to get them 100% perfect and I just can't unsee those sanding marks... They aren't visible from a few feet away, but up close they're pretty obvious. The orange peel texture in the paint was pretty bad and the only sandpaper I have is 2000 grit, so each light required about an hour of sanding to get rid of it. No amount of rubbing compound, scratch remover, or polishing seems to do the trick on the sanding marks. I'm doing this by hand. Maybe it'd work better with an electric buffer.

Yeah, even the cheapest electric polisher will be minutes of effort versus hours of hand polishing and still do a better job.

Oh, my - if the sanding marks aren't visible from a few feet away, I sure as hell wouldn't worry about it. Are other people going to get that close to your car looking at the tail lights? Can you see them from the drivers seat?

However, if they really bug you, I'd suggest you give up on that clear coat and spray them again. And leave the 2000 grit sandpaper on the shelf -

Yep, a store bought buffer and some polishing compound should finish them off nicely.

Today, in my never ending quest to silence the door rattles, I slid a quarter in between the armrest on the door and the door panel itself. It hasnt 100% eliminated the rattling inside the door, but it has reduced its volume/intensity significantly. Not planning on that being a permanent fix but, at least until I get around to actually taking the door panel off, it'll do.

Maybe a silver dollar would be a permanent fix -

Back-in-the-day, they used to sell these little rubber wedges that were rippled. I'd keep a supply in the glove box to jam into places that rattled -

I'd love to buy a pack of something like that, but I wouldn't even know what to search on amazon. "Rubber wedge" just gets you doorstops lol.

Today I bought a buffer wheel for my drill and polished my lights some more, then installed them on the car. I'm very pleased with the results
