I know, right? When something like that happens to you then you become ultra sensitive to anything that might seem like a repeat and any little noise or smell gets you all paranoid

WERD! I don't smoke in the car and I'm ultra sensitive to smells. Faint new car smell with over lap of repair smells. Drives me bonkers

Update: dyno scheduled 11am Nov 1st. Will post results following

Update. Fixed

155. silverbullet, BRZ, 2200 mi, 6035XX, 1 Week- repaired, NH

Attempted to reflash but it wouldnt take so subaru replaced the ECU. Put about 300 miles on it so far without issue. Seems to be a bit more weight to the steering which I dont mind at all, reminds me of the manual rack in my fiero.

Got my "update" today from Scion. They will call next Friday with any updates they might have, but as of now there are no ecu's and no expected ETA from Japan.

Dealer has now had the car longer than I have, sitting there lot rotting. I think I am going to do a buyback and move onto an ST Focus.

Started it back up and the lights were gone. Drove the next mile to work. We'll see how the 40mi drive home goes tonight. I really hope that it makes it through next week so I can participate in the Scion to SEMA drive that I've already signed up for...

Ok, so I just started using a bluetooth donge and torque with my phone today. It seems that this is causing the CEL/SEL to come on my car. On the way home it happened again, so I pulled the dongle off after using torque to clear the codes and restarted the car. Drove the rest of the way home without issues.

Don't want to jack the thread, but has anyone seen the bluetooth dongle and torque cause the CEL light to come on?

Yea some weird unknown network code comes up.. it only happens when the obd2 adapter is knocked out of place..you have to make sure your foot doesnt hit it

Either there is a shortage of parts because of high demand (likely) or they underestimated the need for parts (also likely). It's absolutely ridiculous the amount of parts being thrown at these cars. ECU's, tail lights and now fuel pumps. At this rate Toyota and Subaru must be losing money hand over fist on these cars.

Yeah, can't remember the code (U37) ? but it said something about unknown network communication error. That seems to jive with what you said.

One weird thing is that when it first happened the car went into limp mode. That's kinda unsettling.

Whenever a cel/sl comes on, car automatically goes into a safe mode.

You've been plenty more patient than I have and hopefully it plays out to your favor.

Update: well I finally gave in.. the BRZ finally broke me of the excitement and patience to enjoy the car any further. After making 2 seperate complaints to SOA this week, it finally paid off.. Rep called me and I vented for a good 5 mins. Told him about the 2 seperate times I brought my car into service and the time periods, and how the dealer let a young tech clean my car, but instead just to back into something and destroy my rear bumper. Now got a carfax concern. So I told subaru I am not taking the car back.. not anymore.. They gave me 3 options. 1) Keep the car and get $7500 cash settlement, 2) Subaru will give me all my money back including all payments and downpayments made, 3) trade for another car on the subaru lineup and transfer downpayment and payments made on the BRZ. Choice I chose to go with was the repurchase method, so I am getting the WRX Limited or Premium next week. BRZ is by far a great car, but its still to knew for me to have and will not Ever get another 1st year production car. So lesson learned. I wish all of you the best of luck with the BRZ and if u guys need any help with SOA let me know..
