i'm intrerested in seeing what OFT stage 2 can do with FT86SF header but i'm pretty sure it wont be very optimized. I say that mainly because this header makes very different gains in different rpm ranges than most of the other headers out there. I still want to test it out though. Hoping to borrow my friends OFT soon if i can convince him to let me lol.

Mr. California, since you're going to attack me directly by my location, then why are all your dumbass people moving to Austin, TX? Yeah, explain that one for me idiot.

If you're serious about performance and you're looking at a header, you should realize that you're already in the league of needing a tune. Part A typically leads to part B and part C. Things come together. Let me guess, you buy a turbo or supercharger and everything is included for performance, right?

Enjoy your emissions and 91 octane asshole. I'll enjoy my catless header, 93 octane, and lower cost of living. Also, please tell your idiots to stop moving here, you're ruining my city.
You answer you're own question about getting a header and not getting a tune.

Perhaps people are not serious about performance, but have a hobby.

Probably i should have put the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] around the "Haha, you got a welfare tune." for people who buy off the shelf tunes instead of custom tunes to "optimize" the performance.

Agreed, if anything, the OFT UEL stage 2 would be optimized for the OFH, which, like you said, is designed differently, with different gains across the rev. I wonder if you'd be able to figure out what those differences are based on the logs...

Evidently you don't realize the difference Between Shiv's OTS maps and a custom tune are minimal while dealing with the power levels we're taking about. For those that want a tune that's built around their car he offers an e-tune service to get those last few HPs, all the while being cheaper than other tuning options.

You're messing with the intake and exhaust flow of the stock tune so the risk is there of a CEL. I don't know many people that just buy a header and say, "I'm done with mods!"

The dealer won't have any clue about a flash unless they really deep dive and do an analysis on the ECU. You're giving them too much credit. They're actually pretty dumb hence the reason I tend to avoid them as much as possible. Having the Ecutek stock flash is handy for dealer trips. The too rich and too lean codes are probably the most common ones thrown in this situation depending on header/intake combo.
This may not be the case for your dealer in particular but I do know that at least in California the dealers do check the ECU if you have any CEL/Engine Failure issues to see if there was any tampering. That way they can wipe their hands clean of any fault no matter how little the issue is just as much as they could blame any modification not installed by the dealer. The problem most people have and are hesitant to go the tuning route is for the warranty issue and for the simple fact that this car just hasn't been around long enough for people to really diagnose what it can and can't handle. However everything you stated in the first paragraph I agree with...

And not all of us from California are bad...i'm looking at moving to Texas myself. After all thats where all the big companies are heading so where the good money/jobs go, I go...

I'm willing to bet you can learn a lot from logs and make changes accordingly if you know what your doing. sadly i have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to tuning lol.

This is what I was told as well from the guys at Vishnu... custom tune may only yield slight improvment over the current UEL OTS tune.

We're not talking large variances in horsepower. Now if we were tuning FI, it would be a different story. 20-30 hp vs 5-7 hp is extremely noticeable. This is why I chose to remote tune with N/A. It may take me 200 logs to squeeze out maybe 2-3 more horsepower throughout parts of the rev band? Just not worth it.

I re-flashed the stage 2 UEL B01C v1.59 firmware via OFT to make sure since I am not definite it was the latest on the tablet when I received it.

Mods:
TRD Intake
FT86 Speedfactory UEL catted headers
All rest of exhaust is stock...

I attached the logs that were requested. I can't make heads or tails of it ....but here you go...

Use datazap.me website bro.

Also, there is no label on any of the columns, have you got the latest software and template file loaded?
