Why the Hell haven't I got my OnePlus Two invite yet? Literally all of my friends who bought OnePlus One after me got theirs, but I haven't got shit.

I feel your pain...

I ordered my Oneplus 2 on Wednesday and it hasn't shipped yet.
Trololololol

I don't understand how some people got the phone before me as well.
I got the OPO invite incredibly early and shared all my invites so I assumed I'd get the OP2 invite early as well according to the blog posts.

Yeah, I have no idea what the logic behind the rollout is. OnePlus is probably just dishing invites randomly lol.

While I think it was incredibly idiotic to not include NFC, I personally have never used it (except when Google gave free money away to use).
I don't plan on getting in on the mobile payment stuff either so I don't think I'll miss it.

If by basic features, you mean NFC, I genuinely couldn't care less. It rarely works right in the handsets I've had, and very few stores around me even have NFC enabled registers.

It's got a massive battery, and lots of memory. I'm indifferent about the 810 and 430, as I rarely need my I phone for intensive stuff, but with the right kernel, this thing should have stupid long battery life, while also being pretty snappy. Also, massive (and I mean massive) dev support. If you're running stock software on an OPO (or any device), you're doing it wrong. OnePlus one was seriously Nexus-level in terms of support and I have no doubt that the Two will be same. For people like me who despise mainstream "flagship" phones and we're let down by the Nexus lineup this year, the OnePlus Two is still king..

That being said, the new Nexus 5 is slated to release soon-ish, and Motorola is coming out with decent stuff, so the "flagship killer" market isn't as narrow as it used to be.

[rambling]

I wish they would make a Nexus or Moto in a 4.5" screen with a bigass battery and IR blaster, I'm perfectly happy with 720p screen on my >2 year old HTC One, just wish I could have a half decent excuse for some fresh hardware and a better camera.

Fingers crossed on the Nexus, if it ticks the right boxes I may have it at the top of the christmas list but I'm doubtful, N5 was too big and too barebones, N6 looked great but again too big for me.

I love Sony's Xperia Compact but hate Sony's skin every time I play with it, I might explore going down the Cyanogen route again, I don't need all but the most basic common phone usage but I'll miss the IR blaster very very much. Z5c looks great, I may swing by the Sony store again and tool around with it, play with the menus and such see if I can live with it stock. Oh and I bet it will never see Android 6.0

Fuck it, my dream phone is a Z5C with IR Blaster as a Google Play edition with 2 years guaranteed updates on Vanilla Android.

ehh i guess in my eyes, im just not into phones anymore like i used to be, i would flash a new rom every night just to play around with it

i dont do much of that anymore, i guess in the end i just wanted a phone that works. i was getting so tired of my HTC m8 just randomly deleting 20+gbs of music off of it, my camera kept crashing etc etc

i finally moved over to an Iphone (never had one) and surprisingly im really enjoying it, the fact that this phones stand bye time is amazing, go to bed with 100%, wake up hours later still at 100%, with my M8, id go to bed with 100% and wake to the phone being down to 80-85%

in my eyes, phones are starting to plateau, nothing in my eyes have that WOW factor, its all the same

I agree with you ^

I used to think phones and the flagship models were some of the coolest shit ever. Now I don't really care. I recently rooted and ROM'd my rather slow Amazon bought Nexus 5. It seemed to have sped things up a little and smoothed it out.

Originally I was going to buy the next Nexus 5 because its new and improved, but honesty Android hasn't been doing so great for me lately. The phones are cheap feeling, the hardware and software are laggy and glitchy, and the lack of practical and/or invincible cases is starting to get tiring. I've messed with a few friends iPhones and they're pretty nice pieces.

Okay, I'm done rambling.

HTC Desire Eye by AT&T

Three days owning it. So far no issues. 9/10 phone compared to a 10/10 iPhone.

Although, imo iPhone rating by me is 7/10.

Well.... 90% (not sure of other 10%) of Android powered phones are Chinese.

iPhone is built by like 25 countries, China, Japan and Germany being the main. More high quality too. Then again they are about $800 w/o contract. Most androids range from $250-$450 for main models. High end are over $500. I prefer iPhone for ease of use and updates but like Android more for political reasons and price.

In short, you get what you pay for. Oh and don't forget trends!
