Yea, as long as you have jack stands and the correct sockets, it's something that can be done in the driveway.

It's been nearly 4 months since I posted in this thread. I've done some work to the car in that time.

GT86 Underpanels:

I also tossed in some Whiteline inserts for the rear subframe as well as the transmission bushing insert.

Then in November, my passenger taillight started to fishbowl.

So I fixed it.

I also picked up @Racecomp Engineering's Recaros:

I was up in NY for Thanksgiving. I hopped on the forum one night and that's where I noticed that Racecomp Engineering was parting out their shop car so they could pick up the new STi. I sent Myles a PM with an offer. They're located in Maryland, so it was perfect timing; I could swing by on my drive back home -which is exactly what I did. It was a tight fit, but with the rear seat folded, each seat could be maneuvered through the trunk and stood upright.

I've only got the driver side in as three of the damn 12 point bolts holding the passenger side in stripped. So I need to order new bolts (McMaster here I come) and get those bolts out. I also need to tweak the driver seat mounting slightly. I'd like the front of the seat to be a bit higher, so I'll address that some time this week.

Modifications As of 01/05/2014
- Grimmspeed license plate relocation kit
- SolarGard Ultra Performance Tint; 60% (front), 40% (rear)

- Rear Debadge
- Volk CE28N-L 18x8.5 +44mm wheels

- OEM Mud Gaurds
- Five Axis Design trunk spoiler

- Visconti Stage 1 RaceRom (removed)
- Airaid Air Intake Kit (removed)
- SRT Catted Header Back Exhaust

- Hotchkis Front and Rear Sway Bars
- EDM Armrest
- GT86 Underpanels
- Whiteline Rear Subframe Inserts
- Whiteline Transmission Bushing
- Tom's Clear USDM Taillights
- Recaro Sportster CS

Big thanks to Myles for everything

Oh, almost forgot - this happened:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFZeJv_nbyU"]Vortech FR-S - YouTube[/ame]

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxb3bUKJMDY"]00041 - YouTube[/ame]

It made 286/216 at the wheels at 9-10psi on 93 with a stock header. It's got a TiAL wastegate, boost controller, and upgraded port injectors and pump.

But it's no longer on the car as I'm going in a different direction, so once I take pics of the everything it'll be posted in the classifieds section.

I have a habit of not updating this thread. Anyway, I've done a little bit of work.

- Whiteline Transmission Bushing
- TOM's Clear USDM Taillights
- Recaro Sportster CS
- BRZ Headlights
- Whiteline Differential Bushing Inserts
- Shrader Performance Rear Seat Delete
- Driveway Labs V1 Diffuser

I had purchased the chrome Winjets, but after I installed the TOM's I didn't think the Winjets matched, so I sold them and picked up a set of BRZ headlights - which I modded swapped the frosted projector lens out for a clear lens (HUGE improvement). The wiring was really simple, and I swapped the connectors from the FR-S lights onto the BRZ lights so these are 100% plug and play.

Thanks to my friend Eric for taking this shot:

I tossed in the Whiteline diff bushing inserts, which was a ridiculously easy process. This was a huge improvement over stock.

Then in April I picked up the Shrader Performance rear seat delete since I don't use the back seat and figured the weight savings would be worth it. If you get this kit and don't plan on pulling out all the brackets and seatbelts, then it shouldn't take any more than 2hrs. But I wanted as much weight out as possible, so out came the belts and brackets - which took about 3.5 hours. I just have the bottom panels installed as I kind of like how the look without the rear "seat back" panel in place, but I'm sure it would quiet down the cabin if it were there. Sorry, no pics for this one right now.

This past week I picked up the Driveway Labs 1 diffuser. It fits great and looks great too. I'll be picking up the FT86SF front splitter to balance it out once the guys at Hancha finish up the tie rods.

Other than that, I picked up a new daily driver, which keeps the FR-S in the garage for the most part. I'm up to 43,2xx miles after 2 years, 1 month, and 12 days of ownership, so I do enjoy driving it when I can.

Admittedly, I do not have any that I've taken. I really need to put another photo shoot together, but I'm moving in three weeks so it may be difficult. Here's one from my other friend; don't mind the bugs, I was travelling from Richmond to Atlanta:

Morgan's Scion FR-S by CLtotheTL32, on Flickr

I actually did get a pretty good deal on them. I got lucky on eBay for one of them (brand new with bulb and ballast for $325), and the other one was damaged but purchased on here. I think I paid around $600 all together. The one that was damaged only had scuffs/scratches on the lens, so I swapped it with the ones on my FR-S headlights and it was as good as new. One thing I forgot to mention in the previous post is that while I still have the factory bumper turn signal housing on the car, I'm using the BRZ turn signals. I plan on doing something with the FR-S signal housings, but haven't had the time yet.

And yea, I've been searching for a wagon for months. I wanted either an E46 touring or an IS300 Sportcross. Not being able to find the E46 with the sport pack and a manual (without rust at least) made the decision for me, and I got a Sportcross back in March:

The gas mileage sucks but it's really comfortable and has decent pick up for its size.

Hi! I need to hop back on azine sometime.

I'm on my phone right now, but I'll pm you the link to one of my posts with the pics (although I thought I posted them on azine).

But basically, the engine was giving me problems since day 1 (coolant consumption). Engine started knocking one night, took it to the dealer, they said something was loose in the cylinder head. They replaced it, the car ran "fine" for ~7k miles, the vortech went on, and promptly snapped a rod about an inch below the wrist pin, which spun around and punched a hole in the block. I've seen a handful of other FA20s that blew in the exact same way.

Congrats on the BRZ btw!

It's a modded Vortech kit with a waste gate, that way we could run a larger pulley for more low rpm boost then bleed off the rest up top. That video was from the third or fourth dyno run. The motor popped on the ninth run. I still need to post the kit for sale, I've been slacking.

And yes, I used to have an 03 CL-S. I miss it.

Similar to the JDM/EDM GT86 headlights. I didn't think a DIY was worth it.

I'm thinking about picking up some BRZ headlights to replace my Monogram's headlights. Would you happen to know if i would retain the auto level functions since my monogram already has it wired up?

As long as the polarity is correct, I don't see what it wouldn't. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's plug and play though.
