sorry for the bad picture quality more coming soon
Congrats. I have a question for you: it seems that your front plate is mounted not on the bumper but a bit lower. I wonder if the dealer drilled the holes into the lower portion of the bumper or do they tied the bracket to the net. If it is possible can you take some pictures of how the front plate bracket is mounted?

I also noticed another implementation from Normancw's car from Tony Graham. Is yours also from them?

It looks like they drilled into the piece just below the bumper

It is actually the same holes on the car, except instead of using the bottom plate holes it is in the top holes, making the mount sit "inside" the mouth. I asked my dealer to not install at all, but I have the bracket and will install it myself this way.

And on another note....

Thanks for the picture. That does provide another option since I do not like the offset tow-hook implementation but we need to install front plate in Ontario.

That is awesome Andre. I think you may have just pissed off alot of genesis owners though. be nice to hear a comparison between the 2 cars. Remember to strategically forget something at the corner store every time. I know I have filled my car up 7 times already at $12.50 a fill up. pathetic eh LOL.

Thanks for sharing. I think I would ask the dealer not to mount it and let me do it myself for the best result.

Yup, I've been thinking I need to go to Toronto on Thursday for business.. But the boss will probably see right through that, plus he's also coming to the track on Friday.

This car is so cool.
Leaving the dealer I got a BMW driver stopping me to tell me the car looks awesome ("that is the nicest Scion I have ever seen").
On the way home, guy in a Cobalt SS makes me pull over so he can check out the car, said it looks like a mini-LFA!
Lots of stares and head turns. The Firestorm red is beautiful.

I took the kids out for a spin tonight; my 6 year old boy in the back and my 12 girl in the passenger seat. They loved it. Only logged 80 k today. Delivered with 11km on the odo.

Congrats! First Firestorm in Ottawa, to the best of my knowledge.

As Norm said, now you just need some break-in miles before Friday's fun at Calabogie. I'll be very interested to hear what you think of its performance on the track. I assume you've run the Genesis Coupe on the track before? Wonder how the two will compare.

I ran the Genesis recently at Shannonville, and while I was surprised at how stable it was, it certainly felt bigger and not tossable. I ran my RX-8 at Calabogie for 4 years, so that will be a better comparison.
