Forgot to add another picture, The lower pipe on the intercooler is just under 2.5" so the coupler wasnt getting a good seal. So I cut it off and welding on an actual 2.5" pipe with a nice bead roll on the end.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here but weld where you can. Anywhere you have a rubber coupler leaves room for you to have boost leak at one point or another. A friend of mine bought a "plug and play" kit for his car that used rubber couplers and almost every one of them leaked no matter how much he tightened them. It wasn't until he went and had a shop fabricate his intercooler piping into a solid piece that it resolved his problems. I'm sure his was a worst case scenario, but a coupler will always be a weak spot.

Also all the points where the piping ends it's aluminum to steel. You can't weld those two together. Boost leaks are a very simple problem to avoid with a quality fitting kit.

I know I'd buy a trunk brace ASAP, if you were to mass produce...Or just build me one. What would you charge to build me one and have it shipped to Dothan, Alabama USA ?

It didn't even sink in when you said "on the intercooler". I thought you were referring to just the piping. My bad. Yeah aluminum to stainless is a no go. Proceed sir, proceed.

Guys don't ask him about pricing on stuff. He isn't a vendor and we don't want him getting scolded for no reason. If you have questions PM him.
Thanks for this thread. It is nice to see your work. If you have some free time, I would love to talk to you about building me a turbo kit down the line. It would be more along the lines of the AVO kit location and turbo size wise. I'm looking for a clean and quick spooling setup that will hit hard by 3k until just before redline. |

Thank you for pointing out the vendor issue. I will probably have a conversation with who ever to see what it takes to be a vendor. But untill then yes there at reasons I can't discuss selling anything.

The core support could certainly be duplicated. What are you looking to use the intake with? Im actually thinking the duct in the picture maybe to large. I want to make sure plenty of air goes through the radiator and not over the top.

Yeah I see what you mean. I just need to upgrade my air inlet and my intake for my new setup. So your saying the bar design will let too much air over the radiator?

The inlet being so big might let to much air over. I'm going to seal off the center between the inlet and the IC pipe.

Been a while since I have done a bumper on mock up, here its the bumper loosely on to make sure the air duct clears.
