That's about the same time NIKE SBs, specially the Tiff's and Supremes came out. Just when the XI and V Fire Reds, Carolinas, and Blackouts were retroed is when the upselling started. And of course, cointerfiets boomed, as well. With the quality NIKE now use for the Retros, they're starting to look like another counterfiet themselves

Props to him for even rocking them in public! I watched a lot of ebay listings for the Quai's hoping to cop a pair but since sz 11 is too common, the bids kept rising.

EDIT: Not mettalics, due to suede, so probably the latest version of the retroed fire reds.
Those look sick esp with the white soles and black laces.

Oh for sure!! Before it was so easy to spot fakes but now JB's are considered fakes! Its funny how some of the recent retros have the horizontal black stripe on the size label. I remember that was an indication that they were B grades. Now even release days have them and people and people will. still buy them.

Yes, the details of the inside size tag were always in my checklist for legit NIKEs. How the UK text always touches the horizontal line than the US EU and CM texts. Just like the production date is always touching the bar code. I wouldn't mind a B Grade, they're still legit, the flaws could be noticeable sometimes not. Like my Air Force 1 Hi CHINA, tag says 9.5 but the actual size is a 10.

Got my new laces today, I think I am going to switch between the blue & white laces. I think they both look good. The blue laces are almost a perfect match for the blue on the inside of the shoes. I was very happy about that.

I like the white to show off, while the blue can be actual driving so it doesn't show that much dirt. Either way nice shoes @Shagaliscious

Thanks.

I did notice a drawback with the white laces. They got some red on them in the areas that rubbed against the shoe. Nothing some bleach can't take care of though.

Yeah, I would go with blue, only because the suede will bleed the color on the white laces.

Just saw these on Tumblr. Not really my style but they're pretty cool.

Yep, and will retail for at least $120 out the door.

Yea, it turned out that the "fat lace" was just another set of shoe laces, just really fat. Definitely keeping them in.
