If you waited this long already, I don't see why waiting another 3-4 months would be any different at all.

@OP
I've been waiting for this car since the first rumor's surfaced on club4ag back in '06 based off an extremely off the mark article by BestCar Magazine, followed shortly by the webmaster announcing he was going to japan to talk with Toyota about a possible AE86 successor. So yeah....2 months....*yyyyyyaaaaaaawwwwwnnnnnn* |

![]() It's interesting that people are saying the Mustang is strictly a straight line car...almost as interesting as the people who say it has good handling. heh ![]() Looking forward to that test drive... |

I keep losing patience, browse the classifieds, maybe look at a used car in person (E30, NSX, M3, S14, Mustang, VR4, etc), then realize what a basketcase they are - "perfect condition! ...except for the following long list of things, and that doesn't count the issues I'm not telling you about! - and then I get my 2nd (3rd, 4th...) wind for the BRZ. Zero miles, warranty, mint interior, no issues... I'm tired of waiting (and may have to wait until fall to get one), but I'm doing it.

A few times I've felt "screw it" I'll just buy a new Miata but I haven't. I still think it might be worth the wait. At least I hope so.

i am, but because or practicality. im looking at a truck or SUV, but i want something that can give me 28+ mpg
a sports car would be nice but wouldn't fit my hobbies, since i like to fish and would like to haul my boat around without borrowing my mom's truck. But i will wait on the price first before i make a decision. |

My suggestion to OP is... do what I did... buy a different car that you won't mind driving for a year or two (or 3 if you want). Then you can pick up a used FR-S or BRZ that someone couldn't afford. Plus, you have the option of getting the "newest" version.
Unless you want to be one of the first to own a car... Obviously better models are going to come out. I knew the GT-R was only going to get faster, but I wanted the first of the US R35's. So I got one. Never going to be 1st place, but won't be last for a long time... Funny thing is my bro was waiting for the FR-S / BRZ with me (for his first car) and we're getting kinda impatient too. We want to get a 240SX just like yours!~ lol... wanna sell it? |

If there was an MX-5 Coupé, I'd take it over the GT86, despite not having a Boxer engine which is my favorite engine configuration.
