A big thank you to F1point4, Chris and Pete for posting all your info/experiences with this supercharger! I am eager to hear and see anymore objective AND subjective details you care to share. We can look at dynos and cruch/speculate over numbers, but I think subjective input from the drivers is also important.
I use my BRZ as a daily driver, but am hoping to try out autocross and maybe even a track event or two and really appreciate you sharing your experiences with your cars and modifications. :happy0180: Subbed! |

^Awesome.
I think we're both headed to a round of autocross early in April. I've only run once before and that was before the exhaust and supercharger. |

If you like numbers, more are on it's way! side note: it's a little warm here, 88 out and a little warmer in the bay. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk |

There was an increase of over 14rwhp, but I'm going to data log and put up more info when Perrin has been able to review it.

Everything I want to say about this would probably just be called trolling, so I'll just say this. Thanks for sharing that.

If the map wasn't setup, it wasn't setup period. Jeff gave me maps for the new pulley with specific instructions. They were run map 1, data log, and then I'll have you try the others. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2 |

Yes there are other tuning options out there. The one you spoke of in particular spends the majority of their time just tuning (afaik). Perrin isn't a tuning only shop. Just too much to do!

PLEASE do yourself a favor and get some decent track pads and high temp fluid before your next track event. I wouldn't even consider tracking a completely stock car without pads & fluid, much less a supercharged car with sticky tires! I can't imagine spending all that money on extra power and not paying any attention to the most important thing your car is equipped with to tame that power. I'd plan on having a BBK on my car before ever considering supercharging it. I wouldn't feel comfortable with the OEM front rotors and calipers' (even with track pads and fluid) ability to consistently scrub off the higher speeds the SC delivers on track. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed finally seeing a Vortech car go WOT for a few seconds.

I was out with a instructor who drives and FR-S. Did two runs with him in the vehicle and one with me riding shotgun in his. This was to be a learning experience and not an all our run for the best time possible. It's a daily driver currently. Now I've decided to build it for another purpose. They also had this pit thing that came around every 2 min and 11-12 seconds. I used it when needed :-). With me being a novice, I was only achieving speeds of 10mph higher than my instructor on the front stretch.
Probably will change out to Wilwood brakes for the front pretty soon. In another note, @ TX2k13 I did get to talk to John Hennessey for the first time. He's read about some of the stuff being done on these little things. Pretty cool. Last edited by PhastekSport; 03-19-2013 at 02:27 PM. |
