Those are the Sport Edition SE-16, pretty cheap wheels, relatively light. Seems like I see them a lot for winter wheels because they are decent wheels and are like 400 a set. They supposedly weigh just over 17 pounds

Make that three of us...I'd be even happier with +40, too. It's weird - the majority of affordable, light 16x7.5 offerings (like on TireRack) are super conservative with the offset, sometimes even more than +48, but jumping to a 16x8 puts you in the aggressive end of the spectrum, with the Enkei Compe still a rather aggressive (compared to what the vehicle was intended to use) +25... Despite being on the heavy side for a 16" wheel, if the Compe came in a +35 or +40, I'd be all over it. I think it really compliments the car's look, but no dice...

Ya, I don't get why they are only making the Compe in +25 instead of +35... They could market them for other Subaru's as well if they had that higher offset. +25 only works if you have insane camber all around and narrow tires...

Anyway, IGNORE THE COLOR but I'm buying these wheels that I test fitted last year from a good friend. They actually used to be my wheels like 5 years ago, but I sold them to him and his GF plasti dipped them:

16x7 +48 Rota Slipstreams. Only weigh 13.5lbs. Been mostly auto-x'ed on, going to pick them up for hopefully my first full season and run some 225/50/16 RS3's.

What they used to look like on my old car:

I thought about trying to get the 16x8's that were mentioned before, but apparently they are special order only and require multiple buyers. If I could buy a couple sets of those, would anyone be interested? I might even staggered my set and run 16x7 front, 16x8 rear if I can get some of those...

Still have had no luck finding some 16x8s or wider other than ESM 001s. May have to have some wheels made for my car, sent off for a quote for some 16x8.5 +35 Rotiform Forged Race TMB.

Let me know if you'd want a quote on that also as we are a full Rotiform dealer.

Additionally these 16's by Image Racing are pretty affordable with a custom set of 16x8" as $2360 shipped from the UK. (cast models)

How much would shipping to Calgary Alberta, Canada be on top of that for the Image Racing wheels roughly?

And also maybe a quote for the Rotiforms as well with a graphite colored center.

I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to have to go with a 16x7.5 and either a 225/50, or maybe squeeze a 245/45 on the 7.5" rim...

Sadly, theres only one tire that would work for STX in 245/45/16, and that is the RE-11's... The rest are R-compounds.

I'm kind of looking forward to going back to 225's instead of the 245's I have on my 18's currently, it should liven up the car a bit.
