Same pretty much! Definitely leaned more toward space ships and hover cars for me. Was always into that kind of stuff, especially after watching Star Wars and Back to the Future 2 so much.

So many large bins just full of random pieces.

I don't like modern Lego. My Lego consisted of bricks of varying sizes that one had to use imagination to build something. Now one gets a kit that is only good for one thing. Might as well just get a plastic model.

I have heard of Erector Sets but were never part of my childhood. Meccano on the other hand was something my brothers had while I looked on.

Mmmm, doing a quick picture search, Meccano and Erector look quite similar.
