I too would like some light wheels. But I am also aware that light wheels can be more "fragile" so I will be content with my choice. These are my race set.
So many things to do for the new season. We can do the radiator, oil cooler and put on a new steering wheel. A nice 'D' shaped wheel would be nice.
My poor pocket book.

I got HPS for my FRS, however I have not used them yet. Last time I used HPS/HP+ was on my CS Miata, they were ok.

I had Ferodo ds2500's on my STX e36 and they are a great pad.

Radiator/steering wheel is allowed so long as no performance (ie: weight reduction, smaller size, etc) benefit, right? Or did they change the proposed rule to be different?

If that is still the case, I do not see any reason to change the wheel or radiator, unless you just want a cooler looking wheel? (I would have done this for the ugly wheel on my e36 hah)

I also thought that steering wheel swaps must not be lighter than OE so no weight advantage there.

Unless of course you're asking so you know how much weight to add to it...

Thoughts on battery holders for lightweight batteries? I have a LFX24L3-BS12 and would rather not spend $100+ on a battery tray.

Also, thoughts on rear shock top mounts (the 1" or 2" Raceseng style)? Necessary or no?

I'm just curious how much heavier it is than a hub/QR/sparco setup.
Here ya go (been done)

Some sort of DIY will probably be best. I made my own out of carbon fiber: thread.

But before that, it was just zip tied in place.

They weren't real enthused about that zip ties at autocross, but they let me slide. I wasn't in STX though. Now that I have the carbon bracket, no one complains.

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. Need to pull the batter out of my car and see what kind of attachment points are available for a base plate.

For the base, I just drilled some self-tapping screws right into the chassis. The battery is attached to the base using a liberal amount of 3M double sided tape, which is more than enough to hold the little guy down to the plate, and then the plate is screwed to the chassis. That's actually plenty to keep it in place. The top bit is there to keep it from moving too much, but really it's more for looks since the base hogs all the function.

What are you going to run instead?

Trying to sell everything together or going to sell parts separately. I might be interested in some items.
