I like my Perrin MC Brace, but I don't feel like it made as much of a difference in pedal feel as it did on my STI. Still worth the small amount of money to get one IMHO.

Made it out to the autoshow posted a bunch of photos on the facebook page if you guys can't make it out. Really the toyota ft-1 took the show despite not having a set in stone drive train. As well all know they really didn't do much to the fr-s or the brz this year and they said the car should have the same body for five years. Mercades are finally becoming affordable and BMW thinks the new m cars are worth their weight in gold. Also I got to watch people let their kids treat a 200k Mercedes like a jungle gym while the parents complained they would only let you look at the Bentley by appointment...

Tires are 255/40 Nitto N555's

I had to take my camber bolts back out of the front to be able to stick these on, otherwise they rubbed the spring perch. They clear now, but I'm in the market for coilovers right now. Does anyone have any suggestions? Car is a summer DD, will be AutoX'd as much as I can afford to, but I'm not overly competitive (try to better my own times, but don't pay attention to others'). Fortune Auto v5 500's are at the top of my list. I'd look more seriously at the ST's, but I want something that comes with upper mounts/front camber mounts.

Anyone know anything about the Stance or BC's? Trying to keep this around 1000-1100, considering I'll need LCA's too.

Still looking for someone to swap trunks, too.
I had BC coils on my 07 WRX and I was "Stance" (not here to get any hate) They where great! I had the car really low and was able to keep the factory ride quality with the adjustable dampening on them. I liked them so much I just ordered a set for my FRS to go on in the spring.

If you plan on slamming the car really low then the Stance coils are made for that. The BC coils are the Super lows for our cars so they can go really low too but they are not valved for that so they will ride a little stiffer.

Thanks Bryce, but thanks to Accurate Race Shop's use of Megan coilovers on his tracked ride, I ended up going with those. His reviews made them seem like a very competent coilover, and able to handle what I want from them. I'm not looking to dump my ride, just lower it a bit and fit the wheels, and be adequate for moderate AutoX/Track use.

BC's were right behind them, but for the price of the Megan coilovers I just couldn't pass them up.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there is anyone around the Midland area? I'd like to meet up with some people once the weather gets nicer!

I'm in davison near flint and pretty much everyone is still south of me. I have no problem meeting up near saginaw when the weather gets nicer.

Megans are great! I have nothing bad to say about them. I was just trying to give you my input on the BC coils cause I have ran them.

A lot of the $1000.00 coils now arnt that bad.

But Megan is a GIRL'S NAMMMMMMME.

I want my coilovers to be named Apex Dragon or Touge Terror or something.

Yeah there is an autox in saginaw which normally has less people and more runs for the money that I would like to participate in. Could be awesome to meet up there and find all the other owners near us.

There is also and autox event right here in Midland at Barstow Airport. I was looking to get into autox. Never got around to it last year. I'm still reading through the rule book....

Before reading through the rule book, do you have any modifications already? If so what, I or other forum members can tell you what class you'll be in.

Then you should ask yourself the question... How seriously do I want to compete to win? Go run an event or two in the spring then reassess the question before modifying your car, or modifying further.

Some people get addicted to the sport and the competition and will gladly build a car to the rules. Others like it as an outlet to do something fun in a controlled environment with a car setup for other wants/needs. Both are good reasons to go autocross, but my advice is to run a few events to confirm what camp you are in.

That's me to a tee!

So, mods last season were non-existent. This year I'll have: coilovers, wider wheels/tires, lower control arms, subframe bushings, differential bushings, shifter bushings, Perrin steering lockdown kit, short shifter, and possibly a full exhaust minus the header.

What class would I be in? I'm not competitive with anyone but myself, so I don't care if they put me in the open cockpit class. :P
