FR-S Base 6MT Firestorm (C7P) Jeff Northern NJ...with a view of NY State ![]() ![]() I just took delivery of the car last Saturday (July 27th) and traded in my 2011 Mazdaspeed 3 in the process. I decided to order it with the TRD CAI and exhaust. It may not have been first choice but they're covered by the extended factory warranty and I put a lot of mileage on my cars. I'll mount snow tires on the factory rims during the 'salty' months and I'll be switching to some stickier rubber on the Motegi M121's come next spring. (What is Scion thinking mounting all season tires on this car. ) I'm very happy so far! |

well I don't know if you have the Bridgestones, but the OE spec Michelins are summer tires, bad ones at that.

They're Bridgestones, although I forget the actual designation. I haven't pushed the car yet but they do actually have surprisingly agile feel on turn in; better than I expected. Although I suppose that's more down to the balance of the car itself and less to do with the tires. That said, they earned horrible subjective ratings on Tire Rack. I was hoping to use them as snow tires but with all the hills in my area I'd feel better mounting a dedicated snow tire.
I've always felt all season tires were a terrible compromise. They're just plain lousy in 'all' conditions. |
