No I have owned every xbox on release and only had a ps3 for a few months. I don't know if you follow gaming news but the xbox one originally did not allow people to buy and sell used games. It also said that the xbox MUST have an internet connection every 24 hours. There were a few other terms that screwed the customer but I cant think of them off the top of my head.

In addition the xbox one red stated that this was not something they can just turn on and off and that it was baked into the system. Well guess what happened when they saw the pre order numbers plummet? They flipped the switch and reverted everything they said. I am sorry but you dont get to take back trying to fuck over the consumer.

I follow all gaming news via IGN. I know what MS has said and I know what they say now. It did not affect me what so ever, not then and not now. So either way I was getting the X1. I feel the controller itself is justifying enough. The Xbox 360 controller was praised for being the best controller to date. And the X1 controller has 40 improvements on it. Making it possibly even better. Nothing against the Dualshock 4 PS4 controller but the sticks being next to each other just doesn't feel right, especially for FPSers such as myself. They were trying to make the X1 like Steam (the best digital distribution multiplayer platform). They just didn't communicate that to us well, at all. So the gamers took to the interwebs to riot their hate for all things MS and MS did what they did. They listened and apologized for not explaining, but reversed a lot of things to make up for it. Now it's mostly all optional. Everything is now really identical, and it comes down to software and accessories. (games and controller preference). People need to get over the past. They made a mistake and more than made up for it. A reversal this big has never been heard of in the gaming industry until now, so I applaud MS for listening. They could have just said "too bad". And even if it is for money/sales, that's what every business is after! Our money, that includes Sony too. So please, before everyone joins the hate train be open minded. Thank you

Maybe I just dont care enough about console gaming, the second a company intentionally tries to screw is the day I stop buying their product.

You are a hardcore Xbox fanboy...

Good controller is subjective... I personally hate the Xbox controller, I find it uncomfortable... at least the Dpad is where the stick should be so it's good for playing SNES emulator on my surface... but that's about it... the joystick... hate it...

Where in my reply did you sense that I am a fanboy? That whole response was worded with reason. No specific bias, just opinions. I did not state that "either is better because the other is trash". I just mentioned why I prefered my choice, the controller and the exclusives. If that makes me a fanboy then by all means I am a fanboy. If Titanfall was coming out for PS4, CoD: Ghosts had early release DLC for PS4, PSN was superior to XBL, or my friends were all getting PS4... Then guess what I would get? A PS4!! But none of these are the case. So therefor I am getting an X1 :happy0180:

None of their rules and regulation when they first announced the X1 affected me. I was always online when on my Xbox, I never traded discs with friends or borrowed games because I solely played a handful of shooters. And now that they reversed that, I still could care less as I had it pre-ordered anyways. haha

FYI to everyone else speculating that both consoles will be rock solid with zero issues. Problems occur, it's not a matter of "if" it's a matter of "when" for any product.

I had two of three 360s fail on me. Launch model RROD, replaced free under warranty. Next model video card fried (diagonal green lines), replaced free under warranty. Best Buy was especially accommodating and allowed same day walk-in, walk-out with a brand new one. Generally no questions asked. My third model, I made sure to get the new (at the time) Jasper chipset model, which ran cooler and more efficiently. I've had that one for the past 5 years and thousands of hours of gaming. Still going strong today.

I like racing and shooting games most. I feel the 360 controller has a layout and ergonomics that are infinitely superior for those kinds of games (when compared to PS3 controller).

I owned Mass Effect and BioShock years before it saw the light of day on PS3, and those are two of the best games ever made. PS3 owners should be lucky they eventually made their way over.
