even if you get the other kit, you dont have to install the catless down pipe. they are the exact same kits, except one has an extra, optional piece.

thanks, ive been wondering what that noise is. so you just put it between the heat shield and the underside of the trunk?
Yup, i removed the heat shield, attachedit to the back of the heat shield and reattached the heat shield to the car.

This exhaust seems louder inside the car than the outside. I have a theory that its cause its touching the heatsheild and resonating into the cabin. Im gona try hanging it lower with longer exhaust hangers and hopefully kill two birds with one stone.

yep, lowering the muffler to not touch the heat shield made it significantly quieter in the cabin. i highly recommend that to anyone running this exhaust. i still hear a weird raspy if i have it in too high of a gear and try to accelerate, i hope its the heat shield bouncing sound wave vibrations and not just from the exhaust. im gona take the heat shield off tomorrow to check.

Edited when i notice the raspy noise.

Did you just get longer rubber hangers, or did you just weld new metal hangers onto the exhaust? I'm ordering one right now, finally got the ok from the wife. I think the exhaust sounds amazing in the videos, hoping its just as amazing in person.

longer rubber hangers. about 1/2" longer. doesn't need to be quite that long but i wanted to give plenty of clearance. now the ONLY downside to this exhaust is that raspy noise when the car struggles in low rpms. hopefully its the heat shield. it sounds amazing in every other part of the rev range.

EDIT: i would recommend the ones with multiple holes so you can get it perfect.

Haha could be. I'm trying to find lower hangers cuz right now it's pressed up against the heat shield underneath the spare tire.

Run by an exhaust shop and get them to adjust it, they heated up the hangers on myne and just pulled it down, that fixed the rubbing issue.
