In addition the Rear looks good too.

I hope BRZ won't come with RC radio attenaes..

I thought about the same thing the LED are very smilar to the Gt2 and GT3

Not sure why some auto manufacturers like to add that small glass window by the A-pillar.

It barely adds any visibility to the front, I would much rather the side mirror mounted there.

Side view mirror are more aero mounted on the door and not on the A-pillar.

Thinking about ordering one when we are able. If the BRZ has a higher pricing budget than the Scion, it's the way to go. More goodies, more hp, same handling .

"You can imagine how Subaru must have been feeling as partner Toyota hogged the headlines with its FT-86. But at long last, someone at Subaru has seen sense and decided to issue an official picture of the new BRZ coupe.

This is the Subaru BRZ Concept STi – a rather obviously production-ready glimpse of the new rear-wheel drive coupe, co-developed between Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries and Toyota.

Subaru BRZ Concept STi: the lowdown

This coupe will be shown at the 2011 Los Angeles auto show on 16 November 2011 and just one photo has been issued so far.

There's precious little in the way of technical information, either. They're just trotting out the usual line about it being powered by Subaru's horizontally opposed boxer engine, which we've known since day one.

Extra information we've already gleaned from our recent drive in the Toyota FT-86 include the fact that the boxer engine is likely to be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer, delivering around 200bhp/170lb ft in regular guise. The direct-injection Toyota emits around 160g/km for trim tax bills.

But the STi monicker of this concept car is a clear indication that go-faster versions are planned. Witness the enormous rear wing.

Any other details on the Subaru BRZ?

That boxer engine will allow a very low centre of gravity, promises Subaru, so we are told to expect edgy handling. CAR's resident oversteer-fan, deputy editor Ben Barry, reported that the rear-wheel drive FT-86 test hack he drove was very sideways – but in quite a different way from rally-proven four-wheel drive Subarus of yore.

The Subaru BRZ is likely to be a niche car in the UK. Torrid exchange rates will make this one pricey sports coupe, and the UK importer expects sales of only around 500 a year.

We reckon on this first evidence, they might be able to nudge that volume up a notch or too. If they can get the price right."

I agree but also don't think its fair to compare the frs based off of leaked info consider like you said you can't really speak on them if you have never own them

I bought my GF a 2000 civic and I hate driving that POS. Feels like im destroying the car just to accelerate and the car is light(2350 lbs) with 107lb ft of torque.
Was it a auto? The transmission plans a big part in perceived speed. I went from a 96 civic d16y7 stick to a 99 civic si d16y8 (vtec) auto and the stick while having less HP and TQ felt faster due to stick shifting where I wanted compared to the poorly geared auto car

The little glass window is called a 'Quarter Light'. Manufacturers have been putting them on cars for years. As far as I'm aware it's only there to make the door window shape squarer, which in turn makes it easier (and cheaper!) to wind the window down into the door.

Not very positive message that from a car whic I thought will sell very well maybe the Toyota will get most sales
I imagine I will go Subaru route to complete my Subaru family unless there is a crazy difference in price eg 5k

As we've already reported, Subaru is showing up at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show today with its BRZ Concept STI. The Japanese automaker has already released new official images and information we thought we'd share before the car is unveiled live in Los Angeles later today.

The BRZ Concept STI looks plenty similar to the slinky Scion FR-S Concept we've already seen, though the Pleiades version packs more go-fast hardware than its Toyota brethren. Along with an STI-developed front fascia and splitter, the BRZ wears a carbon fiber roof to reduce weight and lower its center of gravity. A Subaru 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine sits under the hood, though no output figures have been offered as of yet. Subaru does say that the engine comes equipped with a direct-injection system borrowed from Toyota, so the BRZ Concept STI should be as efficient as it is powerful.

The vehicle sits a full 120 mm lower to the ground than anything else currently available in the Subaru stable, which should help the machine provide impressive handling should a production STI version ever make it to market. STI engineers rolled in a specially tuned suspension to that end, and Brembo brakes help bring the machine down from speed. Follow the jump for the full press release.

I still dislike it. I prefer it when a coupe's whole window rolls down.
(try to find a new one that does though...)
