Also, is it true that for aero reasons, we might want to fill the space where the muffler used to be? I could see some nice piece of CF of Alluminum underbody panel.
Not sure if berk has any plans for creating a dual exhaust out of the muffler delete.

From what I have heard there MAY be a piece that will allow the muffler delete to convert into a full catback! But you didnt hear that from me!

To be honest, the muffler may act as a slight "aero" component, but it doesnt cover ALL the space in the area, so it isnt really a "diffuser" as people are confusing. On top of that, you dont get full benefits of a diffuser if you dont have a full flat underbody that directs most of the underbody air to the diffuser. So to answer your question, I don't think it matters that much, because it doesn't fully cover the rear end.

Thanks,
Michael

With that 14" magnaflow resonator you guys say it will reduce drone but what about rasp? I am getting some bad rasp when accelerating usually around 4th gear or when the car lugs.

What size is the custom resonator? You think the 14" magnaflow will reduce most of the rasp or go bigger? Im fully catless with headers and muffler delete with excessive rasp but love the sound otherwise I just want to eliminate as much rasp as possible,

Mine is 18" - I can't speak for anything else as it's the only one I tried.

Thanks. How much did it tone the sound volume down? Or did it just get rid of rasp/drone?

It just got rid of all the drone. Mine never rasped since the rest of the exhaust was stock.

Do you think a muffler would better reduce rasp than a resonator?

The resonator only helps with drone caused by the crossover tube. I think the rasp comes from being catless, and you'll need a muffler somewhere before the muffler delete to help with that.

I saw someone on the previous pages put a 14" muffler between the tips. Does this muffle both sides or just the passenger side. I am thinking about this but maybe I need a bigger one because im fully catless with headers. Also could a muffler be fabricated on the stock midpipe? If so is it a 2.5"? I'm hoping most rasp will be gone without sound loss.

It only muffles the passenger side tip, which is why I don't think it will help with the rasp.

Hmmm, so you think a 18" length muffler with 2.5" inlet and outlet on the midpipe will work?

I think it would certainly help a lot. In addition to that, you still need a resonator on the crossover to get rid of drone.
