Yeah I wish they had like 20 small coin spots and 1 of each other rest so it actually reflects the true odds.

I've also been thinking of getting a wheel and a playseat cause steering with the controller is meh. For those with a wheel, have they introduced any steering feel at all? For example, in iRacing and Assetto Corsa, the wheel is constantly dancing in your hands over the bumps and dips and you can feel every crack in the road. In previous Gran Turismo games, the only time there was feel in the steering wheel was over rumble strips. Is that still the case?

Close, just a G29. Works with PC, XBox and PC. I switch it between the PS4 and Assetto on PC. Works as expected for an entry-level setup, not a huge fan of the spacing between the Throttle and Brake pedals, Rev-matching is a little tricky. Other than that, is a great wheel.

Gotcha, I'm debating to get G923 or G29... currently I'm leaning towards G923.

I can sort of confirm this on the G29 steering wheel. The feedback from each game does play a big part. F1 is punishing when going on the track limits, rumble strips, etc. While I was waiting for the installation to finish yesterday on GT7, I was able to play some Music Rally events and the wheel would only give me serious feedback when going over curves or rumble strips. I played without any assists if that helps too.

That sucks. But if it sharpens up steering I'm still open to trying it

From the reviews the difference between a 293 and 29 is very little. You might get a little more feedback with TrueForce on the 293 but at the price point difference of $100, I don't see it as a must-have.

That's what I just read as well. Some review recommend Thrustmaster instead

I would still recommend using a wheel to play. Steering changes can become crucial when driving on harder tracks. My biggest thing was rev-matching which is awkward on the G29 when using the H pattern shifter. Im more used to left foot braking and pads because of F1, but it takes away some challenging aspect when going full manual.

The way I see it, if you are planning to go all out and have as much immersion as possible, you go and get a rig with a Fanatec. But if you're casually playing and still want to feel immersion with a respectable feedback without breaking the bank, go with a G29 or G293, the latter depends on how much you prioritize "True" feeling at an entry level. Then again, it also depends on your wheel settings which would require some trial and error.

Not sure GT7 is worth Fanatec setup. Love GT series... but isn't Fanatec setup costing around $700 up?

& no love for Thrustmaster? lol

Thats is correct haha. Is some good amount of couch change to put it kindly.

Is not that I don't love Thrustmaster. But why spend extra $$ at an entry level when you can have as much fun with a $299 wheel that can offer the extra fun you're looking for. Is it essential to have as much feedback as possible? Yes. But how much do you prioritize it mixed with the extra $$ if you are just playing for fun, casually.

Here, for anyone interested on getting a wheel, it should help. Techradar and TomsHardware have great reviews when it comes to all things related PC and Consoles.

That's pretty much the logic I used when I got the G29. It's "good enough".
