The nameless system uses 100% 304SS on everything(muffler and hangars, too),makes more power, and is cheaper. The AP exhaust does sound pretty good, though. To each his own.

Vibrant hangars are *not* 304ss:

nor are most magnaflow mufflers.

Umm, I just installed everything today, and everything appears to be 304SS. Also, yes the exhaust sounds good, but I have a modified version different than the original that was posted that supposedly produces more HP. Don is modifying/releasing product in small quantities to the market, and the designs are improving. And the Magnaflow muffler is 304 SS.

this product is 409ss not 304, if that's the muffler he's using. (any proof that the one he is using is 304? I don't mean to derail the thread, but if you make claims on a forum, post sources to back it up for the good of the community- especially if you want to come into a nameless thread and talk about how thankful you are that you didn't buy it )

anyways back on topic. Nameless isn't done with the header design. There will be catless versions soon that will probably make even more power. (mods let me know if I'm out of line.)

Dons also doesn't have the downpipe/up pipe/header. The nameless exhaust was much more quiet before. I went from liking it to not liking it fom the new videos. I'm sure they'll fix it though.

I doubt that. The site screams '100% Stainless Steel' everywhere, but I can't find a grade. Dynomax does the same thing. Flowmaster is the only one of the big US guys that tells us the grade and it's 409. If the other guys were using the better 304 it would be plastered all over their sites.

they will be welding on a resonator within the next day or so. The stock resonator in the downpipe is hellafunctional we found out! haha. it's really not an issue until headers get replaced, but yeah, Nameless is constantly improving. quite nice, since they are doing most of this improving on the dev car, so the vast majority of the market and their customers will benefit, since only a few hundred of these cars are out there right now.

As I said before, Accelerated Performance, Nameless, Etc. - Rock on that they're all out there giving the public choices. That's the bottom line.

You're right. If you call em up and ask, it's 409. 409 is still stainless steel, but it does rust faster than 304(I know you already know this Dimman, just adding it in for other members). Glad to see that magnaflow name on the exhaust though! Happy to see they are buying legit pieces from a decent company, and not some chinese knockoffs. and he does warranty the system.

True. Despite the fact I'm Canadian, made in the USA makes me happy.

So. John and I have literally worked four days straight on about 8-10 hours sleep. I have graphs. This car is damn fast. Taking it back to the dyno Monday. We are by no means done with header development. We want to make more power. Here is a pic of the baseline vs final pulls from Thursday but it is all you get until tomorrow. I'll post a more interrogated view as well as the adjacent baseline and modded pulls.

Ran into about 8 WRX and STi drivers at a stop on the way home and they were quite enamored with the headers and exhaust note. Had people filming the car at full song with GoPros and iPhones on I5. Gotta admit I couldn't keep my foot out of it on the way home. Just sounds amazing. Has a little raspy 125hz drone at about 4k. Entirely dependent on load. Going to do the catless and potentially catted three step 4-1 header next week to try to get more power. Will also try a helmholtz in a few locations. Chamber and neck sizing already calc'd

I love this stuff. But Im going to sleep. By the way, thanks a lot Tainen....now I'm going to have to buy a BRZ. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! Can't wait to add our billet MAF intake. MAF run will be done late next week.

Nice tips. By all means don't show photos. Somebody may copy you. ....wait... Those are the tips I posted photos of 12 days before you announced your exhaust. And I totally called your magnaflow part number because we designed damn near that exhaust (but better) back in 'March of '11 for the WRX hatch:

:-/. At least we were honest about the materi and offered high temp powdercoat.

Gettin tired of this crap. AP uses a 409 Ferritic stainless magnaflow muffler with 409 Ferritic Vibrant hangers.

They look like this after being around....water:

But AP keeps saying they're 304. I'm not keeping my mouth shut any more. Stop lying about your exhaust and sending your shills into our threads.

I know. Tired Jason is Cranky. But you don't go telling people you're selling them gold and then ship tin.

J
