Your right if you are going to do it your have to go all the way! The scion airbag looks ugly.

You can always do a trade to somebody in Japan...they like the scion stuff in the JDM land.

Just keep it scion. That's already been done and looks like shite.

If you're going to go, go all the way how it's supposed to be or don't do it at all. Half-assed jobs are just that.

Seriously!!! Now that I've seen the thread with people in japan going USDM scion with theirs, makes me wish I still had contacts in Japan. . Might make some new friends to get those JDM tail lights

It only looked like crap cuz he used a chrome bumper emblem not an actual steering wheel emblem.

Regardless...my point was to keep it OEM spec. No Toyota 86/GT-86 comes with a "T" emblem in the steering wheel. So I wasn't going to do anything other than the Original 86 airbag. However if that's what works for you...do it! Ultimately it's your car.

it looks good. i also want to ditch the scion emblems, as i like the origins of vehicles and this car originates from japan and is a TOYOTA.
it sucks they had to put the big scion emblem on the wheel lol.

you have any pics of the outside with the toyota emblems? i mean duh i can look up an 86, but i want to see a USDM car with it.

How did you remove the scion brand in your sound system head unit?

Rubbing alcohol and a lot of elbow grease lol. Doesn't look perfect, but I don't really care about the stock head unit. It's coming out as soon as I decide which head unit to replace it with.

Do you have a pic of how it came out? I was thinking of doing this.

Doesn't look pretty, BUT I forgot that I originally used some brake cleaner on a towel to try to rub off the letters(huge fail), so rubbing alcohol alone wouldn't make it look that bad.

Hmm, I may do a test with something else to see how it takes off screen printing. I will try rubbing and denatured.

I've learned from prior experience that Sharpie on a black surface looks purple.
