Huh, never heard of Feal before, looks rather similar to Fortune Auto 500, also available with custom spring rates and matched dampers for a similar pricepoint ($1.2k-$1.6k)

By how much would springs rates need to increased if an STX car was running on R-comp tires instead of street tires? Is there any rule of thumb?
(I know this is sort of OT). |

You'll want to know how much load is being placed on a particular corner of the car (through testing/trial & error with temperature probe), then do either one of two things to help maintain maximum contact patch (even wear and heat across tire): (1) Dial in more negative camber or caster or (2) increase spring (or sway bar) rate enough to prevent camber loss as the camber curve changes through compression. Those would be the big changes. Tire pressure goes without saying. With increasing spring rate, you may work the tire too hard (you may lose too much mechanical grip). With more spring, you may want to adjust damping. With more bar, you may lose too much wheel independence. With increasing negative static camber, you may lose some braking/acceleration traction due to loss of contact patch (when you're not cornering). With increasing negative caster, you may lose some response in transitions or turn-in. |

I skimmed about a third of this thread (seriously) but didn't see much in the way of setup advice. I've got a pretty good idea of what shocks/springs and power mods I want but what are most people doing for sway bars?
Are there any good STX build threads someone can point me to? |

It was started some time ago and it has some good information. You could find some build threads from it as well or at least people to look for.

For a summary: Spring rates seems to be around 400-500, I personally run 440 all around, which was what ground control suggested for autox. Camber is -3.3-3.0 in the from and -2.0-1.7 in the rear. Toe seems to vary by driver preference. I'm at -3.1f/-1.9r and no toe. Not really sure what people doing for bars though. I'm running the strano front with stock rear and the car feels great. |

Those of you running SPC or Whiteline stamped rear LCA's...what are you getting for rear camber?
