That's okay, all mothers are crazy anyway.

Maybe this will fit her style?

I need to travel there someday and checkout Irohazaka. When you mention Honda City Turbo, you mean this?

or more current version?

Why not? There's a lot of good looking convertibles from that era. And some of them look good even in hot pink.

It's possible she won't need it. Classic cars of that era were increasingly marketed to women. I know a few small elderly women that managed to drive old cars. Worst case, classic American cars are known for being easy to work on. Meaning it will also be cheaper to pay somebody else to do the work.

Not the same era but my late-great-grandmother had a Lemans that she handed down to my uncle. He ended up selling it due to circumstances. Which he now regrets.

Now you got me thinking about classic cars!
My dad bought a yellow Celica for my mom while they were dating. It was stolen the day I was born by some druggies so I never saw it. I don't even know what model year or what trim level it was. But a few years ago I saw a first gen Celica torn down to a bare frame. I was confused at first since we were talking about a classic Mustang somebody built. And then there was this shell of a car sitting in the yard that was definitely not a Mustang. It had the quad headlights up front and the silhouette was definitely a first generation Celica.

If I had a choice, I would probably be torn between a First gen Celica or a Pinto. If I had both, the Celica would be a factory shade of yellow and the Pinto would be green or maybe an escort factory blue.

Not saying it doesn't look good. Just saying why she want it is a question.

Good point on making someone else do it... maybe I will

As for first RA25 (first gen Celica), yeah, it's mini-Mustang. I wanna put V6/8 in there and put a custom emblem stating "JDM Mustang"

...or 2JZ in there will work too

but at the same time v8 do sound good too...
