Rotrex units are a win IMO. I have had a few buddies run Rotrex stuff on VW's for over a 100k miles and never had issues with the units themselves. There are going to be hiccups in any FI platform or even modding the car in general. I think you should jump on this kit Adam

"Risk is just higher here."
"My defensive driving meter goes off 100x's more when on the bike." You both have really good points. The NTHSA says that people on motorcycles are 20 times more likely to be killed that those in cars. Those odds don't sound all that good to me. My wife wants to keep me around for a while. If I die the retirement checks stop coming. (I told her to put me in the freezer and don't tell anyone.) I would agree that here in Arizona it may be even worse than the national average. I had street bikes many years ago in Washington state. After a succession of close calls I gave them up. To have a chance of staying alive one must ride scared, always on guard for the next person that is going to try and kill you. For me it took all of the fun out of it. I could enjoy sportscars without that, "I'm probably going to die today feeling." Even racing at 150 mph was far safer. We all had a lot of safety gear, everybody was generally going the same direction, everybody is trained, etc...... You could keep the bike for track days and it would be far safer than driving with all the texters, drunks, illegals that don't know how to drive. A trailer with a super bike being towed to the track by a 86 twin would look pretty cool too. |

You could leave a lot of really fun and legal skid marks on the auto-x course this Sunday. Info is back a few pages.

Tucson Subaru kept my BRZ to check out my key issue, so hopefully it will act up for them. In the meantime I get a white Impreza loaner (what, no BRZ loaner-unbelieveable!). They did have at least 4 new BRZs on the lot including 2 WRBs-almost makes me wish I could have waited a few months to get a new one, but then I would have missed out of 5 months of fun. Date night tomorrow with the wife so I won't make BWW but definitely there next week.
