the exhaust sound with the uel is one of the reasons I love this kit! the only thing holding me back is that if someone sits in my car, I don't want them to say, "wow that's fast, what did you do to it!?" I want them to hear the turbo and think "oh god, I might die today". you know? the turbo doesn't have to scream at me, but i want to know its there!

I saw the hexon rr350 turbo as well, but i cant convince myself to go fi at the expense of the subie rumble...

That additionally has an aftermarket 2.5" Nameless turbo back exhaust and the optional AVO 50/50 BOV.

The acceleration of the AVO, will have them think "OMG I'm gonna die" they don't have to hear the turbo.

I tried searching a few different terms in this thread to no avail. Would this kit accept any turbo(within reason) with the same bolt pattern? Cant seem to find what the bolt pattern is. I assume it being a mitsu style design probably the same as that.

I guess what I was looking to ask is; will a 5858 or maybe 6262 fit up with this or is going to have to be another mitsu style snail that goes on? And even if another style turbo does fit would the kit be too singular in its design to be able to hook up to a different turbo?

EG if a 5858 fits, will the existing plumbing go together or would there be odds and ends that need to be adapted etc?

Thanks

I believe it's T25, 4 bolt inlet/5 bolt outlet. I haven't seen one in person but just looking at it in pictures I don't think it's an easy swap. The precision compressor & turbine looks too big to fit, plus you'd have to get the internal wastegate version otherwise you're looking at redoing all the exhaust components. Also you'll need a new down/overpipe.

Another mitsu style turbo may bolt on but I don't think anyone has done it yet (might not be worth it). There's also no guarantees the oil drain and compressor outlet are exactly where the avo turbo is.

Thanks, thats exactly what my concerns were without knowing enough to articulate the question as well. Size, compatibility with plumbing system(location and necessary flow) and bolt pattern pretty much.

Am I right in considering this a "mitsu" style, or is there a more proper industry name for these actuator style turbos?

Does anybody know where the oil passage goes behind the cam plate? If you look inside the block where the oil pump connects to, there's a sump going down and I was wondering where it leads to because I accidentally dropped quite a few of silicon down there when replacing the sealant on the cam plate after it started leaking again. I am hoping it will melt into the oil.
