Exhaust

Ok, what's the story with the exhaust tips? On the JDM cars, they look great. On the cars we are seeing around the states they just look too small for the cut outs in the bumper.

I am hoping this is a pre-production thing here in the states and once we get the real thing its going to look like the pics and vids from Japan.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Great Question! I'm not really sure myself, but they are just different we'll just have to wait and see. Not all the cars shown have been full production like you say it could be pre production. Also we have no idea what kind of decisions they made so we'll just have to wait for more info. I will how ever go look into it and see if I can find anything.

i 100% agree that the tips are too small relative to the cut outs. unfortunately, i'm pretty certain those are going to be the production models shown in the pics.

i think it's to cut cost, but i also heard that there's a limitation on how big the tips can be in the US.

Some have said it's because of DOT regulations (it's not), but the real reason is so you buy the aftermarket exhausts TRD USA and SPT will offer.

I like the more understated tips. I don't need big flashy exhaust, I'll leave that to the FR-S owners.

Why? Why does that silver look hotter than red? How could that possibly be happening?
