If the brz is 25.5 or less Scion lost me. With the HID, Nav, and Alcantera it's a better value. Not to mention the ability to get below MSRP on it in a few months.

It's just too bad the front end is hideous. It looks like the new Gencoupe or the Mazda speed. I wonder what designer said "hey let's make the front grille a big black plastic strip to make it look like a retarded child waiting for it's mom to wipe the drool from it's chin" (If you can't tell I really hate that look).

I am with you, if it comes with bespoke..I am ok with $24,200. if not the pricing it too high. They will not sell this car too well. Especially if Subaru is only $1000 more and you get HIDS and a "Real" Nav. The bespoke does not have a "Real" Nav system. It just integrates with the internet on your phone so you can get nav from your phone. Scion should not be greedy and should include the bespoke as standard.

Certainly not with what they actually engineered as opposed to what they originally had said they would and considering the macro trends with the auto industry overall

The Alcantara only comes on the Limited.. The Premium (aka 2012 base model) only has HIDs, Nav, and cloth seats. Not trying to be a prick, but if you're passing up on the FR-S with the intent to pick up Alcantara/leather seats, you're going to be looking at several thousand more for the Limited..

Lmfao i know right but what i meant its that if the frs price was 22k or so kinda like the scion2012 rs you would see alotta 18-20ish yrs old with the frs and dont get me wrong im not saying its a bad thing but this is the reason alotta members in this forum actually like the brz bcuz of the more mature crowd

Heck they should have put it at 23,900 to be under 24k... just for psychological purposes.

However, personally I think the price is OK for me.

If this is the price the BRZ premium will be probably around 26k, and the limited 28k and that is too much for that car. I foresee a lot cancelled preorders, and it looks like I'll be headed down the FRS route; not because I couldn't afford the BRZ, but because to me the FRS is a better value.
Your right there is really no difference between the BRZ and FR-S, except for HIDS and Nav. If the Limited is $28K, not worth it...$27K is worth it. We already know Subaru is not going to be discounting the BRZ at least at first, but maybe next year. But by next year the car might cost even more...

There is not way these cars are going to sell 100k units a year combined worldwide.

But I think Scion might do good, if they include a bit more standard equipment for the $24,200 pricing...ie the Bespoke. That makes the FR-S only about $2k more than the Scion tC release 7.0

Thankfully, I don't have to worry too much about that cause I don't live in the states..... I do have to worry about the final price where I live due to import taxes

^This.

Not to mention the GC's handling is quite good as well. Probably wont be as good as the fr-s but still they should of put the price lower.

We don't really know what comes with that 24,200 price. Maybe we hey HIDs and BeSpoke and a bunch of other goodies.

Regardless, no way the BRZ comes in at under 25.5.
