We should start a list of questions to ask...i know i'm gonna forget stuff in the excitement. I want to know:
1. If they can make sure the dealerships dont flog our cars around before we pick them up...this really is my biggest annoyance :P especially if, say, they get delivery of the car while i'm on a business trip and then use it as a 'tester' for other potential customers, i think i might explode
2. If we can make sure they dont drill the front bumper for plates unless the buyer asks for it
3. Current rates or if there's any incentive for us to go through TFS for financing

Seems like things to discuss with your dealer.

I haven't had contact from Beyond in the last week, nor have I heard anything about signing the form again from Scion or the dealer.

under normal circumstances i agree, but like Titus mentioned earlier, if the dealer would rather me decline, they're more likely to put like 100 miles on the car, that would make me upset enough to say no, and allow them to sell it used or whatever for a bigger profit, which is why i think the mfg should provide dealers with some explicit "dont screw the customer" rules

i remember reading from another thread that "used" car is defined as one that has been owned by someone else, so technically even if they put 500 miles on it but its never titled to anyone they could turnaround and sell it as new...which makes me worry because if they DO put some miles on it and thats my first 86 car, i have no legal right to say 'you fucked with my car' since i dont own it yet, even though the car is at that dealer intended for me, its not MINE till i pay iono if that makes sense

My experience has been that when you have a deposit down on a specific VIN the dealer can't use it for demos. Technically you "own' the car and are just waiting for delivery. I think if you make it clear with your dealer, it will be fine. Most reputable dealers are really in for it in the long haul and know that if they make you happy you'll be coming back.

Exactly. They're not going to risk their reputation on one car.

Having said that, I was thinking of bribing the lot boy, or lot technician if you prefer, to call me when the truck arrives with my car. Then I thought that might be silly, and I trust my salesman to take care of me.

I didn't like my flight options, so I countered with my preferred flights . He said he'll check. The option he gave me was to leave Cincinnati at 6:55 AM, which means I'd need to take the whole day off. It would've been cheaper for me to buy my own ticket than to take the whole day off and pay the 30% tax (25% fed, 5% OH) on the ticket value. Oh well.

Sure. Would you like us to make it sound more boring, so you're glad you didn't go?

I have two departure options 5:XX am / 6:XX am, def be an early day! Maybe we have something going on early so want us down early?

But coming back , I have like 4 flight options which are nice from getting home 2pm-11pm for Easter.
