What part of North Hills? I lived on Rochester Road for a short time...and in Allison Park/Hampton for many years.

Trying to get a job in/near Pittsburgh so I can move from the NE corner of the state to the SW corner. Hopefully it works out. If it does, hopefully some of us can meet up.

Currently an IT Project Lead for Application Development for a Fortune 500 insurance company. Have about 7-8 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst turning business requirements in to functional requirements / technical specification documents. My professional experience is limited to the insurance industry, but IT projects, particularly when you're in a lead role, tend to be cross-industry.

I've been applying to the big employers in the area such as PNC, BNY Mellon, Highmark, Coventry, Federated Investors, and UPMC. I would personally love to get in to the healthcare industry so I can at least feel like I'm making an indirect impact on people's lives, but at this point will work just about anywhere that pays me well enough to justify moving to get closer to the in-laws for my wife and daughter. Will most likely have to take a pay cut, but thems the breaks when you're making a move based on your family's best interests.

Sorry for the novel. tl;dr I'm currently in the insurance industry, but am an IT professional who isn't only looking at the finance industry.

I'm willing to pretend to be an engineer! Fake it till you make it, baby!

Seriously though, thanks for even checking. Goes to show how awesome this community is that someone is willing to look in to something like this for someone they don't even know.

did you try companies like zoll, respironics, MSA, draeger, bayer, aquatech, westinghouse, wabtec. etc.

i know these companies because they hire a lot of engineers but would imagine they might need people with your skill set.

Other than Westinghouse, no. I actually forgot that most of those companies even existed! Will definitely look in to it. Thank you!!!

I actually have an interview this Friday in the USX building with PNC, so here's to hoping....finally get to drive further than 10 miles in the FR-S too! Now it's time be paranoid about someone playing with the car when it's not in my garage....

Good coat of wax and a car cover would help. I'm pretty sure you can get one from toyota to fit your car
