As long as you watch the logs but I would still be weary. Anything could happen and having fuel in the car is playing it safe. Safe is better than costing a motor IMO.

I think the concern is while in turns with low fuel, seeing as the "hump" design of our fuel tanks have caused fuel starvation issues.

I was just being an ass btw, I wasn't really calling out @sw20kosh lol

i usually keep it above 1/2 tank in any case, i was just sharing what i've found in the limited testing i've done to reassure myself that if i were to get low on gas and need to make it to a station it's not an immediate issue.

another thing, sort of related but off topic, that i've noticed is that if i run it down to the gas light then put a small amount in, say $5 worth, it doesn't register at all on the gauge. the other day i put $5 in twice from the low fuel light being on just to see if it'd register and it didn't until i added a further $10 worth, when it jumped up past half tank. maybe because of the hump?

After doing those runs last night (0-100) and a few 0-60's I filled up my tank.

Only issue now is my Deatschwerks Fuel Pump has gotten loud. I wonder what that means? I hope it isn't on the edge of dying... It is brand new.

Hmmm? I am still skeptical about the fuel pump upgrades as of right now due to the issues of others failing. I would have left the stock pump in place for the time being until further testing and proven results have been done. Be careful buddy is all I am saying.

That's an excellent video for comparison, it seems to be exactly where it should be. I was comparing it to the Vortech videos I have side by side and they seem very close. In person delivery is different obviously.

deatchwerks never been known to be a good company when it comes to fuelling solution...

I have always try to stand away from their injectors and fuel pump, which is why i will probably do my own fuel set up using aeromotive pump!

Can't wait to put my name on the list, i am waiting for my parts guy to give me the final pricing, and then i will be part of you guys !!!

Cool!

I definitely think the 0-60 could be way better with a proper driver. I'll try launching at 3k rpms rather than 4k.

I edited the side by side video...
From second gear through 3rd...
Vortech vs. Innovate...

What do you think was faster?

@sw20kosh do you mind if I use your video to do a side by side?
I am not going to skew it in favor of either going to start from 2nd gear and up to take the launch out of question:

I won't post it until you say its ok.

The Vortech was using a base map the 212HP setting.
They are almost identical except the Innovate pulls in the midrange ahead, and then the Vortech pulls back at the top. Its almost a wash.
Well except the Innovate sounds like you have a supercharger!

Not surprising at all, everything indicates that'll be the behavioural difference between the two. I'll pick the one with more torque over a wider rpm range for sure.

Not only that, but hearing all of the installation pains of the Vortech...and now the belt issues (idler pulley, intake tube rubbing, etc...), the Innovate kit is looking much more appealing.

It is interesting because you see the video slowed down and at the lower speeds 50-65 the Innovate looks faster, then at the high rpm the innovate is running out of steam while the Vortech is pulling stronger. Then the shifts take place and that pattern happens all over again. Like you said makes sense right?

I want to clear something up about this issue.

The Vortech kit has about 20x the ownership base, more miles, more long term testing more transparency.

There are maybe 7-10 owners who have the Innovate installed and posting, probably half are vendors. Not once has anyone posted any logs or data aside from base dynos. Your largest tuners don't even have enough people with the kit yet to start tuning properly. (Soon)

It is also non-intercooled, and thats a big question mark, namely without testing or logs being supplied. Point is the grass is greener you won't know about the bugs of the Innovate kit for months.
