Talking

I installed a Perrin Gurney flap on my FRS today. My wife did the collage of me installing it. Yes, it is bolted on and it is permanent, not just 3M taped. It is a permanent part of the spoiler now. I like it, it makes the car stand out from the crowd of other white FRS'es in this area.

The only part of it it that I don't like is that 1 rivnut insert got messed up (I didn't drill quite deep enough) and pushes out a tiny bit. The kit from Perrin should have included a couple extra rivnut inserts. If you look from the top you can see it poking out a little. Also, the horizontal spacing was tough to get perfect and I am still not 100% happy with it. I'll mess with it and get it perfect eventually- it was starting to get hot outside, I was done after.

My spoiler is a BRZ spoiler I got from someone on this forum. The OEM FRS spoiler was something like $300-400 and I declined the option. I found the BRZ spoiler (I like the BRZ spoiler a lot better anyway) for $120 and mounted it myself. So the BRZ Perrin Gurney Flap fit with no problem on my FRS. I hope it confuses people a little

Figured I'd get a pic of the rear LCA's I put in a couple weeks ago too. Set to a very mild -1.7° which is a lot more than the OEM arms were set to.

Wasn't today, but took it on a 90% back road ( because that's the only way to get there) drive to Lime Rock Park to watch the Prielli World Challenge race there. There was even an FR-S/GT86 in one of the classes.

That'd drive me nuts! I removed my sound tube as soon as I disconnected it because I knew that it was there even though it was disconnected. You must be a pretty laid back person!
